On June 4, 2024, Halsey revealed that she was battling a particular illness through a series of Instagram videos.
She captioned the post: “Long story short, I’m lucky to be alive. In short, I wrote an album.”
She tagged the Lupus Research Alliance and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in post.
Previously, the singer and songwriter revealed that she was fighting several illnesses in 2022.
She was diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, Sjogren’s syndrome, mast cell activation syndrome, and postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome, for SHOVEL.

In the first Instagram video, Halsey says, “I feel like an old lady,” as she rubs her legs while appearing to be in pain.
She continued: “I told myself I’m going to give myself two more years to be sick.
“At 30, I’m being reborn and I won’t get sick and I’ll look super hot and have a lot of energy and I’ll only be able to redo my 20s at 30,” she continued.
It’s unclear who she is speaking to in the clip.
In the second video, she says: “Today is the first day of treatment”, but does not reveal what type of treatment she is receiving.
The fourth slide is a brief snippet of her singing The End, a new single from her upcoming album.
The singer strums her guitar while singing the ballad.
In the fifth and final clip, she appears to be receiving an infusion.

Halsey also announced an acoustic guitar ballad called The End, which will serve as the first single from her fifth album.
The song narrates his health difficulties.
The opening line goes: “Every two years a doctor says I’m sick / Pulls out a new bag of tricks.”
Although Halsey has not revealed the title of her next album, Vulture reports that the record is inspired by his diagnosis.
