KATY Perry returned to performing with a very exclusive event in France.
The pop music star performed at a billionaire’s pre-wedding party on Friday, just weeks after leaving American Idol.
Katy, 39, performed live at 29-year-old Anant Ambani’s pre-wedding party.
Anant is the youngest son of Mukesh Ambani, Asia’s richest man, with an estimated net worth of $116 billion at the time of writing, according to Forbes.
For the event in Cannes, Katy took to the stage with long, wavy black hair, as well as subtle, shiny makeup.
The California native wore an eye-catching silver dress, with a slinky corset that led to a voluminous and fluffy full skirt.
Despite being unable to perform due to American Idol, Katy seemed very comfortable on stage, dancing and interacting with the audience while singing.
A source spoke exclusively to The US Sun and revealed that Katy was paid millions for her performance at the event, which leads up to the royal wedding in July.
“They invited 800 people who are currently on a space-themed cruise around Europe, with stops at Barcelona and Genoa. He will arrive in Cannes on Friday for the big party, which will cost £40 million,” the source revealed.
“The party itself will only last five hours, but Katy will be the headliner, with a DJ also arriving as part of the top-notch entertainment.
“Afterwards, guests will watch a huge fireworks display from a small armada of ships waiting in the Bay of Cannes.
“When they say no expense was spared, they mean it.”
THE ONE THAT GOT AWAY
Katy’s billion-dollar gig came just weeks after she left American Idol.
Katy announced that she would be leaving American Idol while on Jimmy Kimmel live! on February 12, and exited the show at the end of season 22 last month.
A source claimed that Katy may have left to spend more time with her family, or even to welcome her second child with her fiancé Orlando Bloom, 47.
The couple already shares a daughter, 3-year-old Daisy Dove Bloom.

Asia’s richest man is hosting the “biggest wedding ever”
Mukesh Ambani has a net worth of $116 billion and reportedly paid Beyoncé $6 million to perform a private concert for guests at his daughter’s wedding in 2018.
Anant is set to marry Radhika Merchant in June – and the accounts just wait for it to rise.
Billionaire Mukesh, owner of Reliance Industries and the richest man in Asia, is known for throwing lavish parties.
The star-studded guest list at the pre-wedding party included people from all over Silicon Valley, Hollywood and Washington DC.
Guests include Bill Gates and his wife Melinda, Mark Zuckerburg and Ivanka Trump.
Disney chief Robert Iger also attended the extravagant event, following a deal reached last week between Reliance Industries and Walt Disney to merge their Indian media businesses.
Other guests expected at the Ambani event include BlackRock co-founder Larry Fink, Alphabet chief executive Sundar Pichai and former Canadian prime minister Stephen Harper.
Bollywood stars Amitabh Bachchan and Shahrukh Khan, cricket icons Sachin Tendulkar and MS Dhoni and industry titan Gautam Adani are also invited to a who’s who of India’s super-rich elite.
“With both of them working so much on projects, family time is also very precious.
“She talked about wanting to sleep more and feeling a lot more emotional than usual this season,” the source shared.
They added that the couple may also want a “little brother or sister” for Daisy.
WATCH THIS SPACE
Along with her rumored family dreams, fans think Katy dropped a major hint that new music is coming.
Last month, Katy made a subtle change on Instagram, hinting at a new path forward.
The star changed her profile photo to a plain red background, with a metallic graphic of her initials at the top.
On X, formerly known as Twitter, many of Katy’s social media followers took this as a sign that she is focusing on music once again.
“AH WE ARE SO READY! KP6 IS FINALLY COMING!” one person exclaimed.
“Of all the releases we’ve had, she’s about to have the best,” said a second.
