WENDY Williams’ best friend Regina Schell believes the outspoken star was forced into silence after not hearing from her publicly for more than a year.

In her first long-form interview, Regina, Wendy’s best friend of 44 years who lived with her throughout the summer of 2022, questions what’s going on with her famous friend.

“I want people to know that Wendy is a real person, and this isn’t some karma shit,” Regina began of the star’s celebrity-talking days as host of The Wendy Williams Show.

“Talking is Wendy’s life, her whole claim to fame is talking, and I don’t think she would be that quiet unless she was forced to be quiet,” the star’s decades-long friend alleged.

Meanwhile, another source close to Wendy mentioned that the star spoke publicly about how problematic she found the conservatorship she was in before disappearing from public view in May of last year.

“There’s no way she wouldn’t have responded to that Lifetime documentary, with every member of her family appearing in it,” the source said.

“Wendy would have something to say about all this, no doubt.”

Lifetime has aired a documentary about Wendy’s life in recent years with the four-part series exploring her battle with alcohol, her health and cognitive decline, and the conservatorship she has been under since early 2022.

The star’s heartbreaking friend Regina asked several urgent questions after the star was last seen publicly in May 2023.

“Where is Wendy and why isn’t anyone asking that question? And why isn’t anyone answering that question? Why can’t they present Wendy, or an actual statement from Wendy, or a picture of Wendy? Where is Wendy?!” Regina demanded.

“I haven’t spoken to my friend, who I speak to five times a day, for over a year.”

Regina explained that during the summer of 2022, when it became clear that Wendy was losing her popular daytime talk show while battling a series of health issues, she was staying with the TV host in his New York City penthouse apartment.

Wendy Williams’ ex Kevin Hunter accuses star’s guardian Sabrina Morrissey of ‘draining’ host’s finances in court

“I stayed with Wendy on and off all summer from June 2022 until August.

“I left and went home briefly and came back in September, and then she came to California in October and I went back to New York in December.

“I spent most of the year with her,” said Regina.

Wendy’s New York apartment was unceremoniously sold at a loss in recent months, while Wendy remains somewhere “receiving the care she needs,” according to a statement released by her guardian, Sabrina Morrissey, via a statement. of public relations in February this year.

Wendy’s family participated in the Lifetime docu-series, which aired in late February, and stated on the series and in interviews after it aired – that they don’t know where the star is.

Wendy’s older sister Wanda said People at the time, “The people who love her can’t see her.”

It has a sinister vibe. That’s what bothers me. There’s something about this that just doesn’t feel right.

She added: “I think the big question is: how the hell did we get here?”

Wendy’s family claimed at the time that the only person who had unfettered access to the star, or knew where she was, was her court-appointed guardian, Sabrina Morrissey.

“All I know is that Wendy and her team entered the courtroom on one side and left, and the family was completely shut out,” Wanda told the outlet.

Regina echoed the sentiments of Wendy’s family: “I think she should be surrounded by family and friends and people who love and support her, rather than some stranger who has her who knows where.”

The 59-year-old’s best friend also questioned how Wendy, who she spoke to several times a day, hadn’t called her in over a year since she disappeared from the spotlight.

“She’s somewhere where she can’t talk to a phone because Wendy can always talk to a phone, because if she could talk to a phone, she’d be calling me.”

Wendy’s sister Wanda said during the docu-series and subsequent interviews that the star called her occasionally, but that she was unable to call Wendy herself because she didn’t have a number for her.

Regina still wonders, “What’s the endgame? How does it end when her money runs out? Where is she?

“It has a sinister vibe. That’s what bothers me. There’s something about it that just doesn’t feel right.

“There is no sign of her other than a statement that sounds nothing like her, and why hasn’t a medical team come forward to talk about her dementia diagnosis?”

Regina appeared briefly in NewsNation following the documentary about what she saw while living with Wendy in 2022, and she attacked the guardian in that chat.

“When I was in New York and I was with Wendy over the summer, I noticed when she called…she didn’t have access to her money,” Regina told NewsNation host Chris Cuomo.

“So every time she had to do something that she had to pay for, she had to go through the guardian.”

Regina accused the guardian, Sabrina, of taking hours to get food for Wendy.

She went on to explain that when Wendy ordered her breakfast early in the morning, Sabrina took the order, but sometimes it didn’t show up until several hours later.

“Then Wendy wouldn’t have food,” Regina shared.

Apparently, the situation got so bad that Regina took matters into her own hands and personally sent the necessary supplies to Wendy.

“When I got back to L.A., I would have to send her food from L.A. to New York via a delivery service because she wasn’t receiving it… the communication wasn’t there,” the friend continued.

Wendy Williams’ Diagnosis of Alcohol-Related Brain Damage, Aphasia, and Frontotemporal Dementia

By The US Sun senior reporter Jessica Finn, who has reported on Wendy Williams for the past seven years.

As reported exclusively by The US Sun, Wendy Williams was diagnosed with alcohol-related brain damage in 2019 while in rehab in Florida.

A source explained that a brain scan was done as part of Wendy’s rehab in Delray Beach.

A neurologist spoke with the star, her son and her then-husband, Kevin Hunter Sr.

“The doctor explained to them that Wendy was suffering from alcohol-related brain damage.

“They told her that her alcohol abuse had caused permanent damage to the layers of her brain,” the source said.

“She was warned at that point that if she continued to drink, the damage would only get worse.”

At that meeting, they gave Wendy a devastating prognosis.

Rehabilitation doctors predicted the eventual decline in Wendy’s cognitive abilities, which became evident to those who had contact with the star in recent years.

“They told her that if she continued drinking she would continue to become more forgetful, that she wouldn’t remember people’s names and eventually she might forget who people were,” the source said.

After a call for comment was sent to Wendy’s team, they released a statement saying that Wendy had been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia and aphasia in 2023.

“The decision to share this news was difficult and made after careful consideration, not only to advocate for understanding and compassion for Wendy, but to raise awareness of aphasia and frontotemporal dementia and support thousands of others facing similar circumstances,” the statement said.

“And she had no other access to money other than this guardian.”

Regina made similar claims about the guardian’s alleged inability to provide Wendy with food in her interview with The US Sun.

The best friend also claimed to have a Chewy account to order food for Wendy’s cats, as she said the owner was also negligent in these food orders.

Regina now wonders where the star’s beloved cats, Chit Chat and My Way, are.

WENDY’S GUARD

In early 2022, Wendy’s bank, Wells Fargo, filed a petition to hold a guardianship hearing for Wendy, and her bank accounts were frozen.

Wendy’s lawyer at the time claimed that Wells Fargo is “in possession of funds worth several million dollars” belonging to the talk show host, and she was denied access to her funds for weeks.

In the lawsuit, the star’s attorney said that Wendy’s former financial advisor informed the bank that Wendy “was mentally ill” and as a result, Wells Fargo denied her access to her accounts and statements.

In response, the bank referred to its authority to “pause or reject instructions for a proposed transaction, pending judicial or administrative appeals, if they suspect financial exploitation, insanity or undue influence.”

The bank then asked the court for guardianship of Wendy.

Wendy was placed under court-appointed conservatorship under attorney Sabrina Morrissey, The US Sun exclusively revealed for the first time.

Now, two years later, Wendy’s family, including her brother, Tommy, and sister, Wanda, and her niece, have claimed that they don’t know where the star is and that they only know that she is in rehab, according to with People. .

The family claimed they cannot call Wendy and that she can only call them and the only person who knows where she is is her court-appointed guardian, Sabrina.
