JENNIFER Aniston broke down in tears when asked about her previous TV show role.
This week saw the launch of Variety’s Actors on Actors lineup, where stars interview each other about their past, recent and future projects.
On Thursday, Jen, 55, was paired with Abbott Elementary star Quinta Brunson, 34.
In a clip shared on X, formerly Twitter, a behind-the-scenes person requested that the TV star ask Jen what it’s like to watch Friends after Matthew Perry’s shocking death.
In October 2023, the actor was found dead in a jacuzzi.
In December 2023, his death was caused by the acute effects of ketamine, a dissociative anesthetic used to treat depression.

Friends was a popular sitcom that ran for 10 seasons throughout the 1990s and early 2000s and starred Jen, Matthew, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer, and Lisa Kudrow.
The show followed a group of friends and their life endeavors in New York City.
THE ONE WHERE FRIENDS TURN 30
When Jen heard the question, she started crying.
“Oh God, don’t make me cry!” she said in a shaky voice.
“You’re already crying,” Quinta said.
“Do you want a minute? We don’t need to talk about [it.]”
Jen tilted her head back so as not to ruin her makeup.
A producer quickly handed Jen a tissue before looking at the Golden Globe winner.
Jen insisted she wanted to talk about it, she just needed a few seconds to collect her thoughts and feelings.
“They are tears of happiness,” said the actress.

She then detailed how on the day of the premiere she and Matthew had lunch together and decided to prank Lisa.
That day, Jen said, she was dying her hair, so the Just Go With It actress stole the hairdresser’s tip and started washing Lisa’s hair.
It definitely got out of hand,” she joked.
“It was a shame, but the emotion we had and it seems like it was yesterday.
“The fact that he lived a long, wonderful life and still means so much to people is one of the greatest gifts I think all six of us could imagine.”
The Morning Show star explained that everyone still stays in touch.
“It’s family forever.”
