His obituary – which does not include the cause of death – was published by Robert’s Funerals site.

“Nyima Lee Ward of Ocala, Florida, came into this world on January 2, 1997, destined to live life her way,” the obituary read.

“He left on May 29, 2024, having lived deeply, loved deeply, and created memories with the kind of fervor that only a young man who had never met a stranger could.”

“It would not be unheard of to find Nyima with a stray animal he rescued on the side of the road or to call his mother to ask about animal care tips,” the statement continued.

“The only thing in life that lived up to his height was his love for his friends and family, never missing an opportunity to tell his people he loved them or to ensure he kept in touch with his people,” the statement concluded.

Trish’s son is also described as “a boy of the world” who loves travel and animals.

He is the only child of 90s supermodel-turned-real estate agent Trish and Aaron Ward.

He is survived by his parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, Nyima’s family is asking for donations in her memory to the Florida Wildlife Corridor Foundation.

THE MODEL LIFESTYLE

Nyima started modeling when she was just 18, according to People.

Trish has appeared in campaigns for designers Chanel, Christian Dior and YSL.

She later received her real estate license in New York and is now a global consultant for Sotheby’s Realty.

‘WE CAN TRY’

In March 2017, Nyima revealed the W Magazine about how he became a role model.

“My parents were models. My dad did some Calvin Klein campaigns back then,” he said.

“And my mother started dating David Bonnouvrier, owner of DNA Models.”

“And then they were trying to get me to sign forever and I was always like, ‘Nah, nah.’ And then I turned 18 and thought, ‘I might as well give it a try.'”

He also revealed how many times the mother/duo worked together on a photo shoot.

“We shot for American Vogue when I was 16 or 15,” he recalled.

“And we got a cool photo. She was in this really crazy dress and I was in a Ralph Lauren suit and we were both floating in the air.”

“It was cool. We filmed it several times when I was a kid too.”
