Billy Ray Cyrus Tells Fans He’s ‘Very Proud’ of Daughter Miley Despite ‘Feud’ and Shares Cute Young Photo of the Pair

MILEY CYRUS’ father, Billy Ray Cyrus, shared a sweet photo of the two of them, despite rumors of their rivalry.

Billy Ray, 62, shared a throwback photo of the father-daughter duo on Instagram.

The Hannah Montana alum shared “one of my best memories” with his fans.

O snapshot of the two was taken during participation in the Country Music Association Festival, also known as Fan Fair.

Billy Ray flexed his muscles as he wrapped his arm around Miley, who looked like a child.

“That’s it [Miley] and me, surrounded by thousands of incredible fans at the fairgrounds,” he said.

Billy covered the side of her head with his hand, while his fingers almost touched the short bun of her hair.

‘A TRUE ARTIST’

The Achy Breaky Heart hitmaker framed the image with handwritten pages from his poem, titled The Moment.

“The next day someone handed me this photo and I wrote that poem right then and there on the bus,” Billy captioned the post.

“I’m incredibly proud of her.”

“She is a survivor and a true artist,” he continued.

“She learned from an early age to love and appreciate the fans who make everything possible.”

“We both value the connection we have with our fans and are grateful for each and every one of you!” Billy closed.

Miley’s hit song Flowers played in the background.

THE GRAMMY SNOPPED

Billy’s nostalgic post came months after Miley allegedly snubbed her father in her Grammy acceptance speech.

In early February, Flowers scored record of the year and best pop solo performance at the awards ceremony.

Speculation about the fight between Miley and Billy began after his separation from his mother, Tish Cyrus, in April 2022.

The couple had been together for 30 years before finally calling it quits.

When the exes ended things for the third time in April 2022, Billy revealed he was engaged to Australian singer Firerose.

At the time, fans noticed that the former Disney Channel star had unfollowed her father on social media and appeared to have sided with her mother following their divorce.

Tish married Prison Break actor Dominic Purcell on August 19, 2023.

The two tied the knot during an intimate ceremony in Malibu.

Attendees included her son Trace, her daughter Brandy and Miley, who served as maid of honor.

“Not everyone in the world is going to win a Grammy, but everyone in this world is spectacular,” Miley said that night.

“I want to thank everyone on this stage right now, Tom, Tyler, Michael and Greg…”

“Our teams, my team, Crush, Columbia, my mother, my sister, my love, my main gays because look how beautiful I am”, he thanked.

Viewers pointed out that the pop star thanked several people — including her mother, Tish — but didn’t mention her father.

The TV stars previously co-starred in the Disney Channel sitcom Hannah Montana.

The show followed Robby Stewart (Billy) and his daughter Miley Stewart (Miley), who would change to her superstar alias, Hannah.

From 2006 to 2011, the two spent four seasons on the show.
