Michael, 36, attended the festival for the premiere of his new film Sacramento, which he stars in alongside Kristen Stewart and Maya Erskine.

The Superbad star ditched her usually brown hair color for a lighter style, adding a tousled look to her short, curly locks.

He kept his appearance to a minimum with facial hair and completed his look with black-rimmed glasses, a light blue collared shirt covered with a beige sweater, blue pants, and brown shoes.

It’s unclear what prompted Michael’s transformation, although it’s assumed he did it for a role.

EPIC FAIL

Last January, the Arrested Development star wore her naturally dark hair color while competing on Celebrity Jeopardy!

Michael’s performance on the game show confused fans after he answered a clue completely incorrectly, resulting in him losing all of his winnings.

Fans were still talking about the memorable accident that July and laughed at the moment again on X, formerly Twitter.

“I can’t stop thinking about that time Michael Cera bet all his risky winnings on ‘what a sea cookie’ (the answer was the handmaid’s tale),” one fan wrote.

The post got more than 40,000 likes and 2,000 retweets as fans tried to make sense of Michael’s faux pas.

His mistake happened during Final Jeopardy! round in the “Novels” category.

“‘Breeders, Wives and Non-Women’ was the headline of the 1986 New York Times review of this novel,” the clue read.

Seemingly confident in his answer, Michael bet $20,800 and replied, “What a Seabiscuit,” with a drawing of a sad face.

“The guy heard the word ‘breeders’ and immediately assumed it was about horses, that’s adorable,” someone commented on X, referencing the clue.

“Honestly? Looking for a funny answer when you don’t know the real answer is a path more Jeopardy contestants should take,” another person added.

Michael Cera’s Most Notable Films

Michael Cera won fans by frequently playing the shy and awkward character in his films and TV appearances. Here is a list of the actor’s most memorable roles.

  • George Michael in Arrested Development – 2003 to 2018
  • Paulie Bleeker in June – 2007
  • Evan in Superbad – 2007
  • Scott Pilgrim in Scott Pilgrim vs. the World – 2010
  • João em Vida de Beth – 2022
  • Allan at Barbie – 2023

“I will never forget this episode because I spit out everything I was drinking when they showed his response and stained one of my favorite shirts,” said a third.

Meanwhile, other fans gushed over the Barbie star’s appearance, saying it was “cute” that he didn’t know the answer.

And others found the episode “shuddering” after Michael and fellow contestant, actress Zoë Chao, failed to guess correctly.

At the time, The Big Bang Theory alum Mayim Bialik, 48, hosted the show after spending two years as co-host of Jeopardy! following the death of the show’s longtime host, Alex Trebek.

She shared her hosting duties with former Jeopardy! champion Ken Jennings, 50, while alternating episodes.

Mayim ended up leaving the show in May 2023 in solidarity with the writers’ strike and Ken became the full-time host.
