TEEN Mom star Amber Portwood told police she and her fiancé Gary Wayt “got into an argument” before he disappeared after her brother Shawn Portwood’s wedding.
In a statement to The US Sun, police revealed that Amber, 34, told police that she and her new fiancé got into an argument before he left their cabin in North Carolina.

“Amber stated that she and Gary were arguing and Gary grabbed his car keys and wallet, walked out the door and drove away in a gray 2009 Nissan Rougue,” the statement read.
Police added that he has not been in contact with any friends or family since then.
The statement also calls Gary, 39, Amber’s “boyfriend” and “soon to be husband.”
Police confirmed that Amber called them on Monday at around 4pm and said Gary had been missing since Sunday night around 6pm.
According to the police report first revealed by The US Sun, the pair appeared to be staying at a VRBO cabin in Bryson City, about 60 miles west of Asheville.
The Teen Mom star’s new fiancé, who was briefly introduced to fans this season, is described as 6-foot-5, 200 pounds and bald with brown eyes.
Gary drives a gray 2009 Nissan Rogue with Indiana license plates, according to the missing person’s description.
According to reports, Amber has been dating Gary since last year and they got engaged at the end of May.
AMBER’S FAMILY PROBLEMS
Amber has two children; Leah, 15, with her ex Gary Shirley, and son James, 6, with her other ex Andrew Glennon.
The MTV star does not have custody of either of her children.
Amber spent 17 months in prison after pleading guilty to two felony counts of domestic battery following an alleged attack on her ex, Shirley.
LIFE AFTER PRISON
After she was released from prison, Amber opened up to In touch about being incarcerated.
“Before prison, I never thought about Leah. I was addicted to drugs and didn’t care about anything else. Prison saved my life — and gave me a second chance at being a mother,” the mother of two told the outlet. .
While Amber has often spoken about the difficulties connecting with her daughter, her son’s custody situation is also difficult.
Amber lost custody from James in July 2022 to her ex, Andrew Glennon, 39.
Andrew has since changed with Tiago to California and Amber frequently flies from Indiana to see her son.
