BROOKE Shields shared the worrying reason she wore Crocs to the Tony Awards on Sunday night.
The 58-year-old actress left fans stunned when she wore bright yellow shoes to match her yellow dress at the awards show in New York.

Brooke wore a pair of perforated clogs that sold for $50 at the ceremony.
“I bought my Crocs! I couldn’t do that in high heels!” she said People on the red carpet.
The actress underwent foot surgery a few days before the event.
On June 15, she shared a photo of her feet with braces while sitting in the backseat of a car.
“Feet pics are about to go up a notch… Double foot surgery,” she wrote.
Fans praised the Hollywood star for “pulling off” the surprising footwear choice.
“Only Brooke Shields could do this… making Crocs look so good with her outfit,” one wrote on X, formerly Twitter.
“Rocking the Crocs,” added another and a third posted: “Not gonna lie, I kinda fuck with it. Comfortable and doesn’t match clothes.”
“Knock it out!” another enthusiastic user.
Brooke has struggled with a number of health issues in recent years.
She broke her right femur in an accident at a New York gym in January 2021.
The actress suffered the injury after falling off a balance board, flying and landing on her leg.
At the time, she feared she would be paralyzed and never walk again.
She was unable to see her husband Chris Henchy and their two daughters, Rowan, 21, and Grier, 18, due to Covid restrictions at the time.
The former model underwent two surgeries and returned home, only to develop a serious staph infection.

She was treated for the infection and slowly learned to walk again.
In September 2023, Brooke was rushed to the intensive care unit after suffering a seizure.
The Blue Lagoon actress said she fell “headfirst into the wall” outside a restaurant just days before debuting her one-woman show, Previously Possessed.
She said actor Bradley Cooper was next to her in the ambulance when she woke up.
She later developed bronchitis, but made a full recovery and was able to appear on her show days later.
