KATY Perry fans blasted her comeback song Woman’s World after a snippet of it was leaked on Monday.
The singer, 39, is working on her sixth studio album after leaving American Idol to focus on her music.

A snippet of her new song was shared on Monday and Katy released a teaser on TikTok shortly after.
The mother of one was seen mouthing the lyrics: “Sexy, confident. So smart. She’s heaven sent. So soft, so strong,” while dancing in a white crochet bikini.
She announced that the song will be released on July 11 and teased, “GET READY TO POP OFF.”
Critics were unimpressed with Katy’s latest material, calling it “terrible” and “disgusting”.
“The new snippet of Katy Perry’s latest single sounds like an auto-tuned Real Housewife release, so terrible and kind of over the top,” wrote one on X, formerly Twitter.
“I was rooting for Katy, but these lyrics are so outdated they’re fodder for Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign. It’s over,” another added.
“Katy Perry’s new excerpt is the worst thing I’ve ever heard,” posted a third.
“I can’t be the only one to cringe at the title of Katy Perry’s new song and then hear the lyrics and cringe even more,” another person commented.
“I wanted Katy Perry to bring back the fun of One of the Boys and Teenage Dream, not the clumsy, purposeful pop of Witness.”
“That Katy Perry song sounds like something they made up for the Rupaul Finale song,” joked another reviewer.
“IT’S SO BAD. And I was GAGGED by the single cover,” another user complained.
Others criticized Katy over rumors that she worked with producer Dr. Luke on the song and album.
“The irony of having a song praising women, but you’re working with Dr. Luke? Katy Perry, I didn’t expect this from you,” wrote one.
Kesha previously accused Dr. Luke of sexually assaulting her. They settled their years-long lawsuit in 2023.

After a snippet of Katy’s song was leaked, Kesha posted “lol” on X, leading some fans to think she was protecting the Dark Horse singer.
Katy – who shares 3-year-old daughter Daisy with Orlando Bloom – left American Idol after season 22 to work on her new album.
Meghan Trainor, 30, recently revealed that she would love to replace the singer as a judge.
“I did every interview in the world and said this is my dream job and I emailed three amazing people who work in that world,” she said on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen last week.
Host Ryan Seacrest previously said Meghan would be a great fit for the show.
Katy was a coach alongside Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie in the music competition.
