Justin Timberlake tour tickets slashed to less than £13 as star arrested for drink driving in New York

Tickets for JUSTIN Timberlake’s tour were slashed to less than £13 ahead of the pop star’s drink-driving arrest in New York.

The 43-year-old singer is currently on the North American leg of his Forget Tomorrow world tour – his first in five years.

But sales have been slow and prices have been reduced in an attempt to fill large arenas in the United States.

Seats at the back of Hersheypark Stadium in Pennsylvania for Justin’s 4th of July concert are now just $16 – or £12.50 in British pounds.

And the X Under Face Value account also found midfield seats that can be purchased for a very reasonable $40 (£31.50).

The failed tour didn’t sell out at almost every venue – however, things are looking better in the UK, where Justin’s first of two shows at the O2 Arena only has limited tickets available and hasn’t been affected by price drops.

Insiders fear that the difficulties of touring combined with the lack of commercial success of his latest album Everything I Thought I Was are weighing on Justin.

Selfish, the first single from her sixth album, was released in January and reached number 19 on the US Billboard Hot 100.

The music star arrested for driving under the influence in Sag Harbor, NY, earlier this week.

Police said Justin ran the stop sign, swerved into another lane, it smelled like alcohol and refused to take a breathalyzer.

He is due in court on July 26th – the same date their Poland leg of the tour is set to begin.

Justin is said to have apologized to the cops after his arrest and “owned” the situation, however, his wife Jessica Biel is “colossally embarrassed” by the whole thing.

A source told The Sun: “Justin’s friends want him to take another extended break from music to focus on his work. health and well-being.

“He felt intense pressure to compete with touring giants like Beyoncé and Taylor Swift – and his tour barely sold in comparison.”

The SexyBack singer recently had to cancel his June 8 show in Columbia, South Carolina without explanation.

Ticketmaster announced: “Unfortunately, the event organizer had to cancel your event.”

Their latest album, Everything I Thought It Was, is their first since 2018’s Man in the Woods.

It was released in March and debuted at number four on the US Billboard 200, but soon fell off the charts.

Music critics gave the album mixed reviews, with one calling it a “rehash of past glories.”

A music industry insider said: “It wasn’t the huge success he had hoped for.

“It has been difficult for an artist of his stature to realize that he is past his prime – his glory days are behind him.”

A second source added: “It can’t be easy for him to deal with public rejection and accept the fact that his taste in music has changed.”

SHORTENED?

Insiders are now questioning whether the child Disney star will cancel the rest of his tour.

Music journalist Touré of TheGrio told NewsNation: “A six-year break between your thirties and early forties is a long time (for an artist).

“Most of (Timberlake’s) fans have gotten older and don’t care about him anymore. It’s like the old saying goes: ‘You don’t retire – the public retires you.'”

Others believe his once-loyal fan base abandoned him following the bombshell allegations in Britney’s candid memoir The Woman In Me.

The 42-year-old pop megastar accused him of several things, including cheating on her multiple times, pressuring her to have an abortion and using their breakup to boost his solo career.

The scandals have led some fans in the UK to ask for refunds on tour tickets – although the July shows are going ahead as planned for now.
