Suri Cruise lists her new name on her high school graduation flyer as mom Katie Holmes attends but dad Tom despises the event

TOM Cruise and Katie Holmes’ daughter Suri revealed her new name at her high school graduation in New York City on Friday.

The 18-year-old – who has reportedly been estranged from Tom for years – listed the name change on the ceremony flyer.

Suri was called Suri Noelle in the brochure, dropping the actor’s last name and using her middle name.

Tom didn’t attend his graduation at LaGuardia High School.

The Top Gun actor was identified on Taylor Swift’s Ages tour in London.

Suri was also given a different name in May.

She was listed as Suri Noelle in the cast list appearing in Head Over Heels on Broadway.

She is still listed as Suri Cruise on her birth certificate.

Katie – who Divorced Tom in 2012 after six years of marriage – was next to her daughter at graduation.

The 45-year-old actress was seen enthusiastically hugging Suri as they took photos outside a brick building.

Suri also posed with another recent graduate, beaming as she hugged the student and took photos.

The teenager wore a white dress under her red graduation robe and finished the look with white sandals.

Katie, meanwhile, looked chic in pale yellow pleated pants and a matching collared shirt.

Suri is expected to study design at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh in the fall.

She shared the news earlier this month in a TikTok posted by a schoolmate.

Suri’s graduation comes two months after she celebrated her 18th birthday.

She was seen buying flowers for herself in New York City on the milestone day and later celebrated with her mother and friends.

Tom was away, filming the next chapter of his Mission; Impossible franchise in London at the time.

The 18-year-old has not seen her father since her mother, actress Katie Holmes, divorced him when she was five.

Katie, 44, won sole custody of Suri in 2012 and a generous settlement from her ex-husband.

Many fans believe that the reason behind the split was Tom’s association with the cult religion of Scientology.

After the divorce, Katie spiraled out of control with her daughter as they rebuilt their lives in New York, 2,300 miles away from the action star.

The actor has been accused of putting his religion before his daughter, with former Scientologists claiming he was ordered to shun the Dawson’s Creek star and her son as non-believers.

Former church member Samantha Domingo, daughter-in-law of opera singer Placido, said in 2019: “You can’t be anti-Scientology if you’re part of Tom’s family, you’re disconnected – look at his daughter Suri.”

She added that the church, which believes humanity is descended from an alien race of gods, viewed Suri “as a spiritual being in Tom’s daughter’s body.”

Despite his teenage estrangement, the Top Gun star has kept in touch with his two eldest children, Isabella, 31, and Connor, 29, – both of whom are heavily involved in Scientology.

Tom adopted them both when he was married to his ex-wife Nicole Kidman, who was also reportedly excluded from their lives for being a “repressed person” – SP – someone who doesn’t believe in the church.

Suri has lived out of the spotlight since Katie and Tom split when she was just 5 years old.

The teenager was raised in Los Angeles and moved to New York with Katie.

Suri is believed to have had minimal contact with Tom since their divorce, in which Katie was given sole custody.

Katie also received a generous settlement, with Tom paying $400,000 a year to care for Suri until she turned 18.

Many suspected that Tom’s connection to the Church of Scientology was the reason for the couple’s divorce.
