Mindy Kaling Announces She Secretly Welcomed Third Baby Months Ago, Says ‘She’s the Best Birthday Gift’

MINDY Kaling revealed she secretly welcomed her third child, a daughter, Anne, months ago.

The actress shared the news with her Instagram followers on Monday that her daughter was born in February.

Mindy shared a series of photos, including one of her two oldest children kissing his new little sister’s head while lying in the backyard.

Another showed The Mindy Project star cradling her baby bump in a form-fitting beige dress with flowers.

A third photo captured Mindy smiling at her older children, curled up in their hospital bed, apparently after giving birth.

“At the end of February I gave birth to my daughter, Anne. She is the best birthday present I could have imagined. When things are hard, whenever I turn to cynicism, my three children are a great reminder of pure joy in my life.

“I’m so lucky to live in a place where I was able to do this on my own, on my timeline. Thank you for all the birthday wishes!” Mindy wrote in her caption.

Fans rushed to the comments to share congratulatory messages for the star.

“Oh my god!! Congratulations, you sneaky girl!!!” one person wrote.

“Wow! How amazing you managed to keep it quiet! Congratulations on your beautiful family,” said another.

“Wow! You are the master at controlling your social media! Congratulations,” commented a third.

“What???!!!!! Girl, you are the Queen of surprises! Congratulations to you and welcome to the world little Anne!” another shocked fan added.

Fans suspected Mindy was pregnant after noticing she seemingly hid her baby bump in photos.

In January, the star shared a photo of herself having dinner with friends, hiding her baby bump with a loose sweater.

She also appeared to use the table to block her belly from the camera.

“Mindy Kaling is pregnant again with baby number three and no one noticed. Again haha,” predicted a fan in an online discussion about the photos.

“The only people I noticed were a few comments on her and BJ’s TMZ photos at Disneyland last month. I have to hand it to her that she’s good at hiding it, I guess,” they added, mentioning her best friend and The Office co-star BJ Novak.

“I went to check out her Insta after reading this. She’s definitely gained some weight since she got so skinny last year,” a third pointed out.

Mindy had previously shown off her figure after losing 40 pounds.
