KEVIN Costner posed with five of his seven children at the Los Angeles premiere of his new film Horizon: An American Saga.
Chapter 1 of the western saga directed by Costner is scheduled to be released in theaters on Friday.
On Monday, Costner, 69, showed off his Hollywood smile and classic leading man style as he walked the appropriately dust-colored carpet at the premiere of Horizon at the Regency Village Theatre.
The Yellowstone actor, who wore a beige suit and white shirt, was accompanied by his daughter Annie, 40, and son Joe, 36.
He shares Annie, Joe and his 37-year-old daughter Lily, who was not present, with his ex-wife Cindy Silva.
The Bill Durham star’s children with his ex-wife Christine Baumgartner, Cayden, 17, Hayes, 15, and Grace, 13, also joined their father at the premiere.

Costner also shares a son, Liam, 26, with Bridget Rooney – the niece of former Pittsburgh Steelers owner Dan Rooney.
He was also absent from the red carpet event.
Costner shared a photo of himself with his children at the premiere on the account of Kevin Costner & Modern West, the actor’s country rock band, X, formally Twitter.
The photo was captioned: “Really special night celebrating the @Horizonsaga debut, it was sweeter with these five by my side.”
Several fans responded to the post, with one person writing: “Congratulations and I can’t wait to see [Horizon Saga] when it launches this week.
“I wish you all the best and I’m sure this will be a wonderful saga. Maybe some [Oscar] appointments in the future? That would be amazing!”
They concluded, “I’ll let you know what I think once I see Part 1. God bless and such a beautiful family!”
“Lovely family,” tweeted another.
“Congratulations on your film!! I’m happy for you and your beautiful family. Can’t wait to see Horizon in theaters this week, June 28th,” a third added.
THE POINT OF NO RETURN
Last week, Costner officially announced that he would not return to Yellowstone.
“I wanted to reach out and let you know that after this long year and a half of working on Horizon and doing all the necessary things, and thinking about Yellowstone,” Costner said in an Instagram post.
“I just realized that I won’t be able to continue Season 5 B or in the future,” the actor said.
“It was something that really changed me. I loved it,” he said of his experience filming the Paramount+ series.
“And I know you loved it. I just wanted to let you know that I’m not coming back and I love the relationship that we were able to develop,” he continued.
“And I’ll see you at the movies.”
On Thursday, Paramount announced the premiere date for the second half of the show’s fifth and final season, which is set for Sunday, November 10 at 8 p.m. ET.
While the announcement made no mention of Costner’s character John Dutton and what that role will be in the second half of the season, that hasn’t stopped fans from searching for answers.
Fans have been looking to recent interviews with Costner to see if he would reveal anything about his character if he didn’t return to the show.
But the fans hardly showed up at all.
“I always thought it might be an interesting time to go back and wrap up the mythology of this modern family,” he told People magazine.
“And if that happens, I would take action if I agreed with how it was being done.”
SCHEDULING CONFLICT
He also previously told Deadline that Yellowstone’s schedule kept changing and would interfere with filming on Horizon: An American Saga.
Costner said he wanted to, but never filmed the second half of season five because “there was no script and then things imploded.”
He said the same thing to Today, where he explained his departure.
Kevin explained that after five years on the show, major filming delays due to the pandemic, and scripts taking a long time to complete, he felt it was time to move on.
However, he also said that if the show continued and he liked the story, he would consider returning in the future.
But last February, Deadline reported that Taylor Sheridan’s top-rated drama was about to end.
The plan was to end this unique show on a spectacular note and create a spin-off starring Matthew McConaughey.
Paramount has not released any information about the spinoff.
