KATY Perry stunned fans after stepping out in Paris wearing a dress with a 200-yard train with a hidden meaning.
The singer attended an event in the City of Light wearing a red minidress with a train that seemed endless.
Videos posted on X – formerly Twitter – show the singer entering the Ritz Paris while a crowd applauds and takes photos.
She wore a one-shoulder velvet dress, designed by Balenciaga, with a 200-foot train behind her.
Katy, 39, wore her dark hair in loose curls and a face full of glamorous makeup.
She waved to onlookers as she passed by.
As she walked, fans noticed words written on the train of her dress.
It has since been revealed that the lyrics are lyrics from her newest single, Woman’s World.
Katy was in Paris for her Vogue World: Paris debut, which took place on Sunday.
Fans on social media were divided over the Teenage Dream singer’s promotional tactics.

One person responded to a video showing the unconventional outfit, writing: “Taking music promotion to another level.”
“This is unnecessary,” complained another.
Another clip shared on X gave fans a behind-the-scenes glimpse of how the long train entered the swanky hotel.
People were shown pulling the train through the door while Katy was talking to someone.
“Oh, um [crying emoji] I thought she was still walking,” one person posted.
“Imagine this is your job,” joked a second fan.
“She would have crossed the ocean if she kept walking,” scoffed a third person.
KATY ON TOUR
The tour comes amid news that Katy will go on tour.
After announcing her controversial new single, the American Idol judge announced that she will “come back for you.”
She shared the news while discussing her return to France during Paris Fashion Week.
The Firework singer walked the runway at Place Vendôme in a Noir Kei Ninomiya dress from the Vogue World: Paris archive.
It was recorded meeting fans after the show.
The announcement comes after fans criticized her song, Woman’s World, following a leak last week.
A part of the song was posted on social media and Katy posted a teaser on TikTok shortly after.
In the clip, she mouthed the lyrics, “Sexy, confident. So smart. She was heaven sent. So soft, so strong,” while dancing in a white crochet bikini.
Katy announced that the full song would be released on July 11th.
“GET READY TO LEAVE,” she wrote.
Critics in the comments were unimpressed, calling the song “terrible” and “bad.”
“The new snippet of Katy Perry’s latest single sounds like an auto-tuned Real Housewife release, so terrible and kind of campy,” wrote one hater on X.
“I was rooting for Katy, but these lyrics are so outdated they’re fodder for Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign. It’s over,” another person added.
“Katy Perry’s new snippet is the worst thing I’ve ever heard,” posted a third critical commenter.
“I can’t be the only one who cringed at the title of Katy Perry’s next song and then heard the lyrics and cringed even more,” criticized another in the comments.
“I wanted Katy Perry to bring back the fun of One of the Boys and Teenage Dream, not the clumsy, purposeful pop of Witness.”
“That Katy Perry song sounds like something they made up for the Rupaul Finale song,” someone said.
ROAR BACK
On Friday, Katy responded to Woman’s World critics by dancing to the new single on Instagram.
The singer shared a post of herself dancing to the song in what appeared to be a clothing store, or in the dressing room she shares with her fiance, Orlando Bloom, 47.
In the clip, the pop singer showed off her figure in a tight top, which had the words “FEMININE DIVINE” written on it.
She paired the t-shirt with low-cut pants that revealed her toned abs and pink underwear peeking out from the bottom.
Katy threw herself in front of the camera as the music started playing.
She moved her hips and played with her long black hair as she mouthed the lyrics.
The song ended abruptly with Katy declaring, “That’s all you get.”
She shrugged her shoulders and walked away.
Katy stepped back in front of the lens, joking, “But then I have to go back and press ‘Stop,’” before the video ended.
“IT’S A WOMAN’S WORLD AND YOU’RE LUCKY TO LIVE IN IT,” Katy captioned the post.
