Neil, 78, shared the shocking news on Wednesday, citing illness.

In a statement, he revealed that nausea has been affecting “some of us” in the band since their last performance in May.

“The Love Earth Tour has been a great experience for us so far,” began their statement, posted on their website.

“GREAT AUDIENCE AND MUSIC. WE HAD A LOT OF FUN!”

Neil continued: “When some of us got sick after Pine Knob in Detroit, we had to stop. We are not fully recovered yet, so unfortunately our big tour will take a big unplanned break.

“We’ll try to touch on some of the dates we missed as time passes when we’re ready to rock again! We know many of you have made travel plans, and we apologize for the inconvenience.”

“Thank you for your understanding and patience,” he wrote.

“Health is number 1…. We want to stay and do more shows and more albums for you… and for us…. Love and thanks to all of you at Crazy Horse…. Neil, Micah, Ralph and Billy… I love the Earth.”

He did not say whether he himself was ill.

Cancellations include shows up to three months in advance.

Among the performances that were banned are seven shows in Canada scheduled for July and three shows in the United States scheduled for the end of September.

This includes performing at the Hollywood Bowl and a set at Ohana Fest.

Neil and his band will also not be taking the stage at Kentucky’s Bourbon & Beyond Festival.

There was also a misstep of disappointment on the part of fans who were eager to see the Old Man singer.

“…well damn…,” one person posted.

“It would have been an ‘I can say I saw him’ show, but it wasn’t a deciding factor in [Bourbon & Beyond]. Interested in seeing the replacement,” shared a second fan.

“Oh man. I hope Neil feels better. But I was really looking forward to seeing him on B&B. I hope you find a really great replacement,” a third fan wrote.

“Get well soon, Neil Young. May I suggest @foofighters as a replacement?” a fourth commenter suggested.

“Get well soon, @NeilYoung!” someone else shared.

Someone else wondered, “I mean… 3 months to go… what did they catch?!?”

“It’s a shame,” wrote another fan.
