ZAC Efron surprised fans with his seemingly altered appearance in a new video, and many questioned what happened to his face.
The actor shared a behind-the-scenes video on Instagram from his new Netflix film, A Family Affair, which premiered on Friday.

In the clipZac, 36, recorded his co-star Joey King, 24, filming a silly scene from the comedy, in which she chokes on a grape, hits a door frame and passes out.
Immediately after the scene ended, Zac turned the camera to show him and his other co-star, Nicole Kidman, 56, laughing hysterically and praising his co-star for pulling off the scene alone.
He then turned the lens to Joey, who walked towards them, also laughing at the moment.
However, some fans were more focused on Zac’s appearance in the clip, which they shared in the comments.

“WTF!!!! What happened to your face, Zac?” one person asked.
“Plastic surgery and aging… oh, but probably smoking. They can’t fool us,” another person replied.
Others jumped to defend the Hairspray star, noting that he underwent surgery after suffering a bad fall years earlier.

Zac shared that the masseter muscles inside his face and jaw “compensated” for his injury and caused them to increase in size.

Zac, who was seated next to his co-star Jeremy Allen White, wore sunglasses for the interview, which took place indoors.
Before the speculation could arise, Zac confessed that he put on sunglasses because he had an eye infection.
Zac and his co-stars underwent drastic body transformations for the wrestling biopic, in which he grew considerably to play WWE star Kevin von Erich.

The Ricky Stanicky star credited his muscular physique to giving up veganism and him taking up intermittent fasting.
“I started intermittent fasting shortly after I stopped being vegan,” Zac told Men’s Health.
“My body wasn’t processing the vegetables the right way. So, I decided to stop and try something new,” she exclaimed.
“Intermittent fasting has been very helpful in this.”
