KANYE West has quietly closed his Yews News platform after less than a year, while his fashion business has also slashed prices on all items to just $20.
The rapper and entrepreneur launched his news website last December, which was initially only available via mobile.

It featured drop-down menus labeled 10am, 3pm and 8pm and included articles related to everything from fashion to politics and updates on Kanye’s career following his cancellation.
There were few original posts on platformwith most news taken from mainstream media outlets, including The US Sun, often with a random religious illustration.
The site, which was said to be “created by news professionals, curated by Ye,” now only shows a blank cell phone graphic saying, “No items found.”
An account on X, which follows the site, states that the latest news was at the end of April.
On May 3, a post read: “This could be the end for yews. No new articles in 3 days and it has been removed from the Yeezy website. YEWS 2023-2024.”
Links to previous issues are still active, with the latest articles being “Hundreds of Cops Raid Colombia”, “Sex Workers Outraged by AI GFs”, and “US May Admit Some Palestinians”.
Kanye registered several trademarks prior to the release for the use of “Yews”, including projects/items in education, advertising, banking, music streaming, TV, beauty care, food and beverage, gaming, clothing, footwear, cuisine, alcoholic beverages and more.
It’s unknown why Kanye decided to stop posting news in recent months, but changes have also been made to his fashion website Yeezy.
YEEZY FIGHT
The hitmaker has reduced prices on most of his products, with t-shirts, joggers and hoodies now selling for just $20.
Currently, a notice on the Yeezy website warns customers: “All sales are final,” meaning even damaged items cannot be returned.
Kanye is believed to still be working with American Apparel founder Dov Charney, who was hired to work with the star and relaunch his Yeezy clothing line last year.
Charney now runs Los Angeles Apparel and reportedly has a factory downtown where Yeezy merchandise is also produced.
But despite the cheap prices, it seems that customers were not very satisfied with the shipping prices and delivery time.
“Yeezy $20, ok, cool, but $16 for shipping?” one fan wrote.
Kanye West’s recent controversies
Kanye West has faced a number of controversies in recent years.
In November 2022, a former Yeezy employee alleged in a lawsuit that Kanye showed them intimate photos of his ex-wife Kim Kardashian.
The employees also alleged that he showed them pornography during meetings and talked about pornography.
The star, who was sued by several former employees, denied all allegations.
In October 2023, Adidas dropped the rapper when several social media sites banned him from their platforms for making anti-Semitic comments online, in interviews and on his clothing.
Amid pleas from fans and threats of major boycotts, Adidas announced its decision to terminate his contract.
Gap and Balenciaga followed suit.
Kanye has said in the past that he suffers from pornography addiction, making the comments in an online rant that has since been deleted.
“Yeezy hasn’t even sent an email about shipping my wet shirt yet,” posted another in recent months.
“I just realized I ordered a shirt, but Yeezy never received it. Not even a shipping email”, complained a third.
Another customer added: “I was going to buy one of the $20 Yeezy shirts but shipping is $15 so no.”
Kanye has been desperately trying to get his fashion business back on track after being canceled for his anti-Semitic comments in November 2022.
Although his album Vultures was released on his own, which made him money, he is facing a lot of financial problems with increasing lawsuits from former Yeezy and Donda Academy employees.
HEADQUARTERS TABLE
Adidas is also seeking millions through private arbitration after dropping a federal court case that sought to freeze $75 million held by the Yeezy brand.
In court documents, Adidas alleged that Kanye’s “racist, anti-Semitic and other offensive public statements and conduct” caused “considerable harm to its brand.”
“Adidas has multiple causes of action against Yeezy arising from Ye’s highly public and offensive conduct described above, which violated the terms of the Agreement and warranted Adidas’ termination of that agreement,” the company wrote. like the dispute over [issues]will be resolved through arbitration.”
The division reportedly contributed to a $655 million loss in sales in the last three months of 2022.
Kanye’s lawyers have filed a request for comment, although he has relied on several different publicists in recent months.
The US Sun also published photographs last week showing that his $6.7 million West Hollywood headquarters is no closer to completion after he ripped the roof off the building.
Exclusive drone footage showed construction workers at Kanye’s 7,400-square-foot site.
In one image, a mountain of trash sat at the building’s entrance, with discarded items piling up inside the property.
A worker was digging a mound of dirt, with vehicles scattered throughout the space.
Piles of different materials have been spread out and work is now beginning on a huge structure in the center of the building.
