While walking the blue carpet at the event held at the Peacock Theatre, Angela, 36, donned a bright emerald green ensemble.
Her strapless dress reached down to her ankles while her toned legs were fully exposed due to the sheer fabric of the dress.
She had her hair and makeup touched up to perfection while accessorizing with matching earrings and a bright green gun-shaped bag.
Her favorite bag and her poses on the red carpet were harshly criticized on social media.

One person wrote on X, formerly Twitter: “Angela Simmons pointing her purse like it was a real gun is diabolical.”
Another said: ‘Angela Simmons is a really 10/10, but she always has to do some shit. Why are you wearing a gun bag with an evening dress?’
FACING THE SETBACK
Shortly after her appearance at the awards show, Angela opened up about her gun bag in a video shared on social media.
She said: “I’m not violent. Obviously, I’ve been through a lot in my personal life when it comes to gun violence and this is very personal to me.”
In 2019, Angela’s baby daddy and ex-fiance, Sutton Tennyson, was shot multiple times and killed in Atlanta, Georgia.
The star continued: “I just liked the bag and thought it was cool and thought it was a fashion moment.
I didn’t mean to upset anyone, it seems like some people are a little upset, but I mean no harm.
“I’m super calm and I’m sorry if this bothered anyone.”
‘DO IT BETTER!’
As the apology video was shared on Instagram posted by The Shade Room, people weren’t letting Angela off the hook easily.
“Use your brain! You are a public figure with a son whose father died from gun violence. We will not give you permission to act unrelated to this DO BETTER,” one person commented.
