What happened to Zac Efron’s face?
Zac Efron confused fans in 2021 when he appeared in a Facebook Watch video with Bill Nye.
Viewers soon began speculating about what caused a noticeable change in her face.
In 2022, the actor recognized the changes to his face and chin.
During an interview with Men’s health he revealed how he was injured several years earlier in an unfortunate accident at home.
Zac explained that he slipped while running around the house in his socks, which caused him to fall and hit his face on the granite corner of a fountain.
He lost consciousness on impact and woke up to the horror of his chin bone hanging from his body – leading to a long recovery process.

To help with his recovery, the star had been seeing a physical therapist to help all parts of his face function properly, but he took a break in 2021 while he filmed the second season of his Netflix series, Down to Earth.
