NICKI Minaj has canceled her Romanian tour date due to safety concerns.
There are protests in Bucharest, where the show takes place, and the rapper said she just wants to “come home” to her son.
“Out of concern for the well-being of our team and myself, I have been advised by my security guards not to travel to the Romania festival tonight due to security concerns relating to the protests in the area,” she said. he wrote in X on July 7th.
“I look forward to seeing you all at another time. As a mother, I have to make sure I’m making good decisions to get home to my son, and for my team to get home to their families.”
Nicki gave birth to her son on September 30, 2020.
She shares her son with her husband Kenneth “Zoo” Petty, whom she married in October 2019.
The popular rapper did not reveal his son’s name.
“Not heeding safety advice at this time is simply not what I think I should be doing. I love you and I appreciate your understanding and support,” Nicki, 41, continued.
“I’m so excited to see my fans this Friday in London for another very special show at the Wireless Festival.”
Nicki is currently in the middle of her Pink Friday 2 world tour.
O traverse is scheduled to conclude in Queens, New York on October 11th.
SECURITY CONCERNS
Romanian activists plan to march in Bucharest city center on Monday morning, according to TMZ.
They are protesting the state’s tax policies.
Even though the show is tonight in Romania, Nicki and her team didn’t want to take any chances.
The rescheduled date has not yet been announced.
‘WE UNDERSTAND’
Many of Nicki’s followers understood her reasoning for canceling and told her to stay safe.

OTHER CANCELLATION
This isn’t the first time this year that Nicki has canceled a show.
In March, Nicki canceled a concert in Louisiana due to illness.
“Due to doctor’s orders, Nicki Minaj must reschedule her NOLA show tonight,” the venue, Smoothie King Center, posted on Instagram at 4:06 p.m., five hours before Nicki took the stage.
“Since Nicki is still sick, our team doesn’t want to risk making other people sick, and Nicki wouldn’t be able to give NOLA the show they deserve.”
Nicki had performed three days earlier at a music festival in Los Angeles when she began to feel unwell.

Nicki’s Amsterdam concert in May was also canceled after the rapper was arrested.
