In the comments section of the music video, one fan wrote, “This feels like a parody of feminism gone wrong.”

“This is what a feminist music video would be like if it was made by a guy,” commented another.

A third wrote: “This seems like something that would be a satire of feminism in The Boys.”

On Saturday, the pop culture account Pop Craze X, formally Twitter, posted a video of Katy Perry, 39, explaining the satirical meaning behind the Woman’s World video.

In the video, the Roar singer was shown on the set of the Woman’s World music video surrounded by backup dancers.

She shouted, “Boss girl, shit,” “You can do it,” “Go girl,” and “You were born to shine” before explaining that she and the director were “having a little fun” and being very “sarcastic” about the video.

Katy stated, “It’s very slapstick and very exaggerated.”

The Camp Queen and her backup dancers were dressed as sexy construction workers as she revealed, “With this ensemble, it’s like, ‘Ooh, we’re not worried about the male gaze, but we really are worried about the male gaze.’

“And we’re really overreacting and overreacting.”

In the comments section of the post, one person wrote, “Imagine having to explain your obvious view to viewers.”

Another commented: “Satirical? She’s picking at straws after the backlash.”

While the video may not have arrived the way Katy had hoped, her explanation of the topics was recorded while the video was still in production.

The “Cringe” and “Flopped” insults also marred the explainer’s comments section.

The video began with the pop singer sitting on a metal beam alongside backup dancers.

She had her arm rolled up to show off her muscles like Rosie the Riveter.

The video then transitioned to several more frames, including one of Katy’s breasts being crushed.

With this set, it’s like, ‘Ooh, we’re not talking about the male gaze, but we really are talking about the male gaze.'”

She was wearing a bikini-style top embellished with jewels and an American flag printed on it.

The Hot ‘N Cold singer had already worn the piece in promotional photos for the song, posted on July 4th.

Elsewhere in the video, Katy was seen wearing the same top, tiny shorts and a tool belt.

Katy raised a drill into the air and pulled the trigger.

The video showed the California native dancing before cutting to a scene where she poured whiskey directly from the bottle into her mouth.

It’s very slapstick and very direct.”
