SHANNEN Doherty’s mother Rosa has broken her silence over her daughter’s death from cancer after she gave her mother all her belongings.
Shannen passed away on July 13, 2024, after a long battle with cancer.
On Monday, Rosa Doherty released a statement with People following the Beverly Hills, 90210 star’s untimely death.
“She is my beautiful girl and my heart,” Rosa said.
“Our family wants to thank everyone who has shown love and support to our Shannen throughout her life.
“We are truly grateful.”
Shannen was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015.
She went into remission two years later; however, the disease returned in stage 4.
The Charmed star announced that her cancer had returned in 2020 and had spread to her bones in 2023.
Unfortunately, his battle ended on Saturday, as announced by his publicist Leslie Sloane the next day.
“It is with heavy hearts that I confirm the passing of actress Shannen Doherty,” Leslie said in a statement.
“On Saturday, July 13, she lost her battle with cancer after many years of fighting the disease.
“The devoted daughter, sister, aunt and friend was surrounded by her loved ones as well as her dog, Bowie.”
The statement concluded by asking fans to give his family privacy.
SELLING YOUR BELONGINGS
Just months before Shannen’s death, she spoke out on her Let’s Be Clear podcast, saying she sold her assets to make things easier for Rosa.
“My priority right now is my mother – I know it will be difficult for her if I predecease her,” Shannen explained at the time.
“As it will be very difficult for her, I want other things to be much easier.
“I don’t want her to have a lot of things to take care of. I don’t want her to have four storage rooms full of furniture.”
