KATY Perry has fans thinking she sent a message to critics on social media following her brutal comments about her new music video.

The pop star released her comeback song Woman’s World on June 17 after taking a years-long hiatus from music to focus on her role as a judge on American Idol.

However, fans weren’t very supportive of her new track after she released its interesting music video.

Fans now suspect that Katy’s recent Instagram post contained a subtle dig at her haters for their harsh words.

On Sunday, Katy, 39, shared photos and videos of her life lately, vacationing with fiancé Orlando Bloom, 47, and 3-year-old daughter Daisy Dove.

A photo captured the singer pouting your lips in the bathroom mirror while wearing a black and white checkered bikini.

“WOMAN’S WORLD: sister/mom/partner/funtie/kvnty/almost 40 and FABULOUS editing,” the mother-of-one captioned her post with a red lip emoji.

MIXED REACTIONS

However, it was the star’s location that caught fans’ attention as it snagged her in “Planet Unbothered.”

Katy’s followers immediately pointed out her crafty tag, with one commenting: “Carefree planet – tell them!”

Another wrote: “She is ALIVE,” while a third added: “Carefree queen.”

“I love how you don’t respond to hateful comments, Katy,” shared one follower.

Meanwhile, others took the opportunity to criticize the multi-Grammy award nominee, with one saying: “‘Carefree?’ It proves you don’t understand what makes people upset.”

Katy Perry says Woman’s World music video is ‘satire’ – but fans think the singer is ‘catching up’ with the song’s backlash

“Carefree Planet, where hypocrisy reigns,” said a second.

Someone wrote: “Stop pretending you don’t care, we all know you’re desperate to be relevant again.”

Another added: “I was defending you but that location is uncomfortable.”

The initial backlash stemmed from Katy’s appearance and actions in her Woman’s World music video, which the artist labeled “satire”.

It showed Katy and a group of dancers wearing ultra-sexy patriotic bikinis, a tool belt and bright orange vests to imitate construction workers.

Katy was also seen holding a drill in the air and pouring whiskey from the bottle into her mouth.

The artist explained the video in a social media post, generating a series of heated responses from fans.

“Imagine having to explain your obvious view to viewers,” one reacted.

“Satirical? She’s reaching for the straw after the backlash,” said another.

‘JUST SAYING’

Katy has also come under scrutiny for collaborating with disgraced producer Dr. Luke on her upcoming album, 143, due out September 20th.

Dr. Luke is known as Kesha’s former producer, against whom she filed a lawsuit, alleging that he sexually assaulted and harassed her, among other allegations.

Last June, after a nine-year battle, both sides revealed that they had reached an agreement.

However, Dr. Luke’s alleged behavior wasn’t swept under the rug, as actress Abigail Breslin, 28, seemingly attacked Katy online for working with him.

“I’m just saying… working with known abusers in any industry just adds to the narrative that men can do heinous things and get away with it,” Abigail wrote on X before calling out Kesha, 37, for a memorable performance she gave the previous year.

Katy didn’t seem to comment Post by Abigail.
