Aubrey, 40, tore her anterior cruciate ligament while playing a knockout game at the Phoenix Mercury training center, according to Deadline.

Her injury was seen that night during the broadcast of the WNBA All-Star Game on Saturday, July 20, from the Footprint Center in Arizona, while she was sitting courtside.

The actress had an ice bandage on her knee, which was covered by a towel with the Gatorade logo.

She also had crutches to help her when she got up and walked.

Game announcer Ryan Ruocco revealed Aubrey’s injury during the game, which happened between the skills event and the game.

“I feel sorry for Aubrey Plaza. She came in this weekend with a healthy knee. She is leaving with an ACL injury thanks to a tough ‘knockout’ game at the Mercury training facility,” he said.

She sat next to former soccer player Megan Rapinoe and former basketball player Sue Bird.

Sue was even seen adjusting Aubrey’s ice at one point during the game.

Aubrey was wearing jeans, a white t-shirt with a purple shirt over it, sneakers, and a backwards orange baseball cap.

She even got silly at one point and put on black sunglasses while swinging her crutches.

REPEAT OFFENDER

This isn’t the first time Aubrey has had an ACL tear.

On Friday, the actress appeared on Megan and Sue’s podcast A Touch More and revealed that she has suffered the same injury before.

The first time she did this was during a women’s rec league in Los Angeles in 2016.

She disguised herself so she could play on the same team as her sister, Natalie.

“And then in the middle of the game, I went to try and tore my ACL on the court with a wig on,” Aubrey shared.

“That’s the worst case scenario because I was trying to disguise myself and I basically broke my knee in half.”

‘NOTHING CAN STOP US!’

Aubrey posted about the injury on his Instagram on Sunday.

“@wnba ALL STAR WEEKEND. How it all started… how it was… Nothing can stop us!” she wrote.

“Thank you @wnba for organizing such an amazing weekend and taking such good care of me and my broken knee. Such a great game. See you in Paris (no).”

The first photo showed Aubrey stretching, where she lay down on the floor and put her legs above her head.

The next photo showed her sitting on a bench with ice on her knee, and then someone came to check her knee.

However, a few hours later, Aubrey was ready to take a front row photo at the game.

She even stood up with her crutch to greet a player.
