Love Island star Rob Rausch surprises Call Her Daddy’s Alex Cooper with update on Leah Kateb and gets candid about ex’s new man

LOVE Island’s Rob Rausch has given a major update on where he stands with his ex Leah Kateb.

Rob and Leah met and had an important connection during the beginning of the sixth season of the reality show.

On Tuesday, fans got to hear her revealing interview with Alex Cooper on his Call Her Daddy podcast.

During the nearly 90-minute conversation, Alex and Rob discussed their love life, as well as their second time in the Love Island villa.

Rob made a brief appearance in season 5, but was eliminated after five days.

However, this time, he stayed until the end and made a quick connection with Leah.

As the episodes continued, Rob got a wandering eye and went on to connect with other women – including bombshell Andrea – who was quickly eliminated.

Due to this, Rob and Leah ended their relationship and, in the end, remained friends.

However, many fans were dying to see the two make up and get back together, despite Leah moving on with another man, Miguel Harichi.

‘SHE IS AN AMAZING PERSON’

During the interview, Alex asked: “The whole world wanted you to end up together.

“Would you try to make this work in the real world?”

The TikTok star tried to let the world down easy: “I think after everything, I think we’re going to be amazing friends and I think I’d rather just focus on that for now.

“I love being around her. She’s an amazing person. So funny. I’m laughing the whole time I’m with her normally.

“But I also think Miguel is a really cool guy. I love Miguel.

“I think we’re great friends and this is a great place to be [in] and I’m happy with that.

I’m glad I’m happy to be her friend,” he concluded.

‘WE NEED THEM TOGETHER’

As the episodes aired on Peacock, fans were desperate for Leah and Rob to work things out.

One wrote on X: “I want Rob and Leah together again. The chemistry is too raw, I’m sorry!”

“We need Rob and Leah together,” echoed a second.

A third Love Island viewer said: “I’m rooting for Rob and Leah. Why can’t they just be together?!?!?”

Just days before Rob’s interview aired, Miguel opened up about his future with Leah.

“Leah is an incredible woman. [We] I got along in a way that I didn’t expect to get along with anyone in the village,” he revealed to Us weekly.

“We have a lot of similarities, our jokes are the same. She understands my silly side. She understands me for who I am. She took me away [with] how amazing she is.”

He went on to discuss that he wants to move on with Leah and see where their relationship takes them.

“She’s definitely someone I’ll cherish, I think, for the rest of my life,” he said.

Leah and Miguel reached the end of the show, but did not win.

Serena Page and Kordell Beckham won the huge prize of $100,000.
