Shannen Doherty’s ex-husband Kurt Iswarienko could contest the divorce, as an expert explains the star died on the same day he signed off on their marriage.
In an exclusive interview with The US Sun, attorney and co-chair of her firm’s matrimonial and family law practice, said that although it appears that Kurt, 50, signed away his rights to Shannen’s assets in the divorce, he may still be able to make become an heir.

The Beverly Hills, 90210 star died on Saturday, July 13, after a long battle with breast cancer, at the age of 53.
The day before her death, Shannen was able to finalize her divorce, with Kurt signing it on Saturday – the day she passed away.
The judge signed the divorce that Monday, however, the timing of Kurt’s signature has led to doubts about whether the divorce is actually valid.
“What people need to know is that when they sign a divorce agreement, it is absolutely final.

“It is very difficult to undo a divorce agreement once it is signed.”
“What I found interesting is that I read that he signed it the same day she died,” said the martial arts lawyer.
“So for me, if I were his lawyer, I would be looking into whether he signed it after she died?”
“Is there a way to reopen this agreement and question whether it was valid?”
“Because it was signed, but perhaps when one of the parties had already passed away?”
According to the expert, “if someone dies in the middle of a case, the case can be considered mitigated by death.
“That means they just don’t get divorced, it’s done.
“The case ended and then it was dragged to probate court,” concluded Morghan.
As The US Sun first reported exclusively, a judgment was entered and signed by a judge on July 15 and both Shannen and Kurt were “restored to the status of single people.”
The actress has been discussed in the past throughout the process.
DIVORCE DETAILS
Attached to the divorce decree was the couple’s agreement that detailed the details of the couple’s separation.
In it, Shannen was awarded the couple’s Malibu marital home and all the artwork, furnishings, and furnishings within it.
The Charmed star also received several automobiles and a Salvador Dali painting.
She also received royalties from her ex’s photography business, including half of the licensing fees from the sale of photos and videos taken while they were married, which was a focal point for her in the divorce.

SHANNEN’S DIAGNOSIS
The actress, who starred in Little House on the Prairie as a child and was best known for her roles on Beverly Hills 90210 and Charmed, was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015.
In 2017, after undergoing chemotherapy, the cancer went into remission, only to return in 2019.
In 2020, Shannen confirmed it was stage four breast cancer.
