During the televised interview, the network destroyed the spelling of the high fashion expert’s name in the chyron.
It was displayed as “Annal Wintour” instead of “Anna Wintour”.
A screenshot of the broadcast was posted on an Instagram account dedicated to fashion with the caption: “I need to talk to you on French national television because you can’t do this to my girl Anna! .”
Fans of Anna, 74, were very amused by the spelling error in the comments section.

“Does this mean war?” asked one fan while others responded: “it actually happens” and “we went for a walk at dawn”.
Another fan commented: “I bet it was Jackeline Follet’s team,” referring to Meryl Streep’s Devil Wears Prada character’s rival, Miranda Priestlys.

“Welcome to the stage Annal Wintour,” joked a third.

“Honestly it could be human error, it definitely draws attention with the French spelling,” added another.

Anna is the current editor-in-chief of Vogue, founded in 1892, and has played a key role in the magazine’s continued success.
Born on November 3, 1949, Dame Anna Wintour is a native of Hampstead, a neighborhood in London, England.
His father, Charles, was editor of the London Evening Standard and was considered “one of the greatest and most influential journalists of the second half of the 20th century”, according to The Guardian.
Anna attended North London Collegiate School before entering the workforce as a teenager.
Her fashion career began at the age of 15 in a London boutique called BIBA.
In 1970, Anna was hired as an editorial assistant at Harper’s & Queens, but quit after a few years to move to New York City.
In New York, Anna worked as a junior fashion editor at Harper’s Bazaar before joining the team at Viva.
The then-upstart spent time as a fashion editor at Savvy before becoming fashion editor at New York magazine.
In the early 1980s, Anna joined the Vogue team as the magazine’s first creative director.
In 1985, Wintour replaced Beatrix Miller as editor of British Vogue.
Three years later, Wintour became editor-in-chief of American Vogue.
Her first cover as editor-in-chief appeared in November 1988, featuring Michaela Bercu in a Christian Lacroix jacket complete with a bejeweled cross.
Wintour was appointed Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire at Buckingham Palace in 2017.
Three years later, in 2020, Wintour was named Global Chief Content Officer at Condé Nast.
PERSONAL LIFE
Throughout her life, Anna dated several important men.
From 1984 to 1999, she was married to psychiatrist David Shaffer.
Together, they share two children: Charlie and Katherine.
She remarried in 2004 to multimillionaire Shelby Bryan, however, the couple separated in 2020.
Despite being married, Anna is rumored to be dating Bill Nighy since 2015.
The two have been spotted together several times, including what appeared to be a romantic dinner in Rome in 2021.
The two have yet to confirm whether the rumors are true, but the two have regularly appeared together since April 2023.
