The family was to perform on the Gaither Homecoming Alaskan Cruise, a seven-day cruise from Seattle, Washington, to Alaska.

Jason and Kelly Nelon Clark, along with their daughter Amber Nelon Kistler, lost their lives in the accident, leaving behind their youngest daughter, Autumn Nelon Streetman.

Autumn is pregnant with a boy, which leads her to not join her family aboard the Seattle-bound jet.

Another four in plane died, including Autumn’s brother-in-law, Nathan.

A day after her family’s death, her daughter shared an Instagram post expressing her sadness over the loss and thanking her fans for their support.

“As many of you have heard, my father and mother, Jason and Kelly Nelon Clark, along with my sister, Amber and my brother-in-law, Nathan, as well as our dear friends Melodi Hodges, Larry and Melissa Haynie were involved in a tragic accident by plane on Friday,” the star captioned a photo of her family.

“Thank you for the prayers that have already been extended to me, my husband, Jamie, and our unborn son, as well as Jason’s parents, Dan and Linda Clark.

“We appreciate your continued prayers, love and support as we navigate the days ahead.”

In the caption above Autumn’s comments, Gaither Management Group posted a statement about the heartbreaking tragedy.

“One of America’s most beloved gospel music families, the Nelons were involved in a tragic and fatal plane crash Friday afternoon en route to the Gaither Homecoming cruise to Alaska,” the group wrote.

The statement named the victims and informed fans that Autumn and her husband were safe.

“They were taken to the hotel where the artists met with Bill and Gloria Gaither to pray, sing and embrace them in their grief, promising to support them in any need that arose.”

Fans filled the comments with sympathy for the singer and prayers for her deceased family members.

“I don’t know how to value this post,” wrote one commenter.

“You have thousands and thousands of prayers being raised for you in this time of loss. My heart is holding you close,” she continued.

“Absolutely broken for you and praying for a peace that passes all understanding because this is truly unfathomable.”

Friends and fellow artists also spoke of the devastation following the accident.

“Our hearts are heavy with the news of the tragic passing of our dear friends,” singer-songwriter Mark Lowry exclusively told The US Sun.

Lowry was scheduled to perform alongside the Nelons on the Alaska cruise.

“We have created so many precious memories over the decades that I will cherish, so many good times and so many laughs.

“Our only comfort is knowing that they have seen our Savior face to face and that we will soon join to sing with them again.”

The trio’s plane reportedly caught fire when it crashed Wyoming, causing a huge forest fire.

Emergency crews immediately responded to the scene, but unfortunately everyone on board lost their lives.
