Who is Tristan Thompson’s brother Amari?

Tristan Thompson is known for his involvement with the Kardashian family.

However, the basketball player’s fans want to know more about his own flesh and blood.

The sportsman was born on March 13, 1991, in Canada, son of Andrea and Trevor Thompson and is of Jamaican descent.

Tristan shares three brothers: Dishawn, Daniel, and Amari.

Eighteen-year-old Amari — her younger brother — suffers from epilepsy, a brain disorder that causes recurrent, unprovoked seizures and sometimes loss of consciousness, according to the Mayo clinic.

He was born on July 28, 2006.

On the July 27, 2023 episode of Hulu’s The Kardashians, Khloé Kardashian, 40, shared that her ex Tristan and Amari moved in with her after her mother’s death.

His mother, Andrea Thompson, died suddenly after suffering a heart attack on January 5, 2023.

As AND! News reported, Khloé said in a confessional, “I’m grateful that I’m strong and brave enough to be a support system for someone else who has no other support system right now.

“You don’t have to treat me well for me to treat you well – that’s not how I was raised.”

After Andrea’s death, Tristan brought Amari back to California.

At the time, Khloé revealed: “Amari is 16 years old and seriously disabled. He is very sad, because we don’t know what he knows or doesn’t know, cognitively.”

Another reason Tristan and Amari moved in with the Good American founder involved damage to his home that made it “uninhabitable,” according to E! News.

Khloé said: “He was able to live there during the renovations, but we had some crazy California weather, like extreme rain, and Tristan’s roof collapsed on his house and caused flooding.

“Tristan and Amari are staying at my house right now until his house is fixed up.”

The reality star also added that her son with Tristan, named Tatum, is now able to spend time with his uncle Amari and that they really “like each other.”

On February 27, 2024, the Los Angeles County Superior Court granted Tristan sole guardianship of his Amari.

According to E! News, Khloé noted that she and Tristan are not re-exploring a romantic relationship, but that they “are family.”

The couple also shares two children.

She said: “I know this is hard for everyone to believe, but I love, love, love Andrea and I love Tristan. I love Amari. That’s what family does.

“Tristan is the father of my children… I know how close Tristan and his mother are, and it is heartbreaking.

“And then being left with someone else’s responsibility as well, it’s a lot.

“I just think that’s what family does when shit hits the fan.

“All you have is your family. And Tristan and I are family, and we will be family for the rest of our lives.”

The reality TV star later responded to an online troll who questioned her “justification” over an Instagram post featuring three photos from Amari’s 17th birthday party.

Khloe wrote in response, “I’m seriously questioning your reasoning for commenting. What’s the problem?”

Another online critic suggested that featuring Amari on the reality show and on social media was a violation of her “consent.”

Kardashian responded, “His mother was always very proud of her son and wanted him front and center. Take care of yours and I’ll take care of mine, thank you.

On Saturday, July 28, Khloe wrote a sweet tribute to Amari for her 18th birthday.

She wrote: “Happy 18th birthday sweet angel Amari!!

“I can’t believe you’re 18! You changed our lives in the best way possible! Thank you for being an angel to all of us!

“You are the sweetest, silliest, most loving young man.

“I hope you feel how much we love and adore you, our sweet angel Amari.”

Along with the touching message, Khloe shared a series of photos of herself and Amari over the years.

When did Tristan create the Amari Thompson fund?

Tristan established the Amari Thompson Fund in 2013 in honor of his brother.

It was made to benefit Epilepsy Toronto to raise awareness, education and funding for the disorder.

“Everyone has their motivation,” Tristan said in March 2022 after a Chicago Bulls shooting, according to NBC.

“For me, it’s my brother and my family. My mother also had to sacrifice herself every day.

“She had to take care of a child basically 24 hours a day. This takes her away from her own life and freedom.

“Most parents who have kids in the NBA, their parents might go to Las Vegas or Atlantic City and go to the islands. For her, it’s not always the same. I use that as my driving force to try to make both of their lives easier.”

Who are Tristan’s other siblings?

Tristan’s brothers Dishawn, born May 3, 1995, and Daniel tend to stay out of the spotlight.

However, they both followed in their brother’s footsteps and want to one day become famous basketball players.

According to NBADishawn is 6 feet 2 inches tall and played for Northeast Junior College in Nebraska.

Daniel, on the other hand, won an Under-11 championship in Canada in 2015.
