TLC star Jon Gosselin has impressed fans with his recent weight loss, but it wasn’t just the desire to look good that spurred him on — there’s a much sweeter reason behind his body transformation.
The former Jon and Kate Plus Eight star, 47, who now lives with longtime girlfriend Stephanie Lebo, said he started having health problems earlier this year after putting on weight and realized: “I have to change.”
But it was Jon’s love for Stephanie, 36, who he met around three years ago, that spurred him to overhaul his lifestyle.
“I was worried about my long-term health and being with someone I’ve been looking for for 19 years, you know what I mean?” Jon told The US Sun in an exclusive interview with Stephanie.
“So it’s like if you care enough about that person, you should care enough about yourself and your health.”
Stephanie says she loves Jon at any size, but is proud of her man’s achievements.

The mother-of-one also says she understands how difficult it can be to struggle with weight issues and has tried to support him as much as she can.
“You go through mood swings like, ‘I don’t want to keep eating chicken and fish like I want to eat a hamburger,’ but I know that’s something he really wanted to do,” Stephanie said.
“I know he wasn’t happy with himself.
“I’ve fluctuated my whole life between high amounts of weight and low amounts of weight, so I get it.
“I didn’t love him any less, I mean I love him more every day, but he’s doing great.
“The energy might drop a little – he looks like a five-year-old now!
“Together I think we, regardless, whether it’s weight loss or anything in our relationship. We make a good team.”
Stephanie believes it was her own weight loss that encouraged Jon to make changes.
“I knew I was climbing when I met him. I probably gained a good 45 to 50 pounds,” she said.
“I know that when I got the first 20 [pounds] alone, I think it pushed him a little because I got a little smaller and he got a little bigger.
“So, I mean, I’ll support you. Like I said, do I want to eat fish and chicken? I love it, but not every day. I want fries!”
GIVING AN EXAMPLE
Jon said he is grateful to have his partner’s support and together they are setting a good example of healthy living for their children – Stephanie’s daughter Giulianna and Jon’s two sons Hannah and Collin, both 20, who live with them when they are at home.
“It’s so much easier when your partner is involved in changing your lifestyle,” Jon said.
“Because it is hard. You want to make the same meal in the kitchen so everyone can sit down and eat.
“You don’t want everyone to be comfortable and do all kinds of different things.
“And it also sets a good example for the kids that live in the house, that, you know, we’re eating healthier and we’re really concerned about our own health, and that they should be concerned about their health as well.”
WEIGHT LOSS SECRETS
Jon previously shared his weight loss secrets with The US Sun, revealing how he used a combination of semaglutide, which is a generic Ozempic, testosterone, diet and a new treatment called CellSoundwhich melts fat and tightens the skin.
He said that after getting blood tests at the celebrity-favorite medical spa, Beverly Hills Rejuvenation Center, he discovered that his testosterone levels were low, which can cause problems with libido, energy levels and weight.
The reality TV star-turned-DJ revealed that her new health regime has given the added bonus of boosting her sex life.
THE FATHER’S APPEAL
Jon remains estranged from his other six children, four other sextuplets Alexis, Aaden, Leah and Joel, all aged 20, and older twins Mady and Faceboth 23.
Earlier this week, he revealed that he would love to reunite with his family and would be happy if Stephanie and his ex-wife, Kate Gosselin, started talking.
Jon and Kate’s long legal battle only came to an end in April this year – after their lawsuit seeking unpaid child support was overturned.
The former couple had been involved in a bitter legal battle over child support payments and custody arrangements since their divorce in 2009.
