HALSEY has spoken out amid harsh criticism from fans over her latest single, admitting she “regrets” returning to music.

In a post on Tumblr, the Without Me singer revealed that she didn’t like the critical supporters.

Halsey, 29, shared a lengthy post amid backlash over her latest single Lucky.

“My own fans are much more cruel to me than anyone else on the planet,” she began.

“Not speaking for all of you, of course. But it used to be just a minority who were horrible to me and now it seems like the majority only stick around to occasionally chime in with their opinion about how much they hate me or how horrible I am.” It’s hard to want to participate in a space that is completely devoid of any kindness, friendliness, patience, or, to be honest, human decency.

She continued, “Especially after years of hiding from interactions out of fear that this EXACTLY would happen.

“I almost lost my life. I won’t do anything else that doesn’t make me happy. I can’t pay for this spiritually anymore.”

Halsey took a break from music when she was diagnosed with lupus and another rare disease in 2022.

She returned to music when she felt better and capable and expressed enthusiasm about doing so.

The New Jersey native released a new single, called Lucky, which was poorly received by some fans.

She continued in her Tumblr post: “When I got sick all I could think about was getting better so I could come back and be a part of this again, but I don’t even know what that is anymore and I want to crawl. a hole and I regret coming back.”

Britney Spears threatens to sue Halsey and says she feels ‘intimidated’ after singer dresses up as a pop star for music video

NOT SO LUCKY

Lucky is the first single from Halsey’s fifth album.

The song echoes lyrics from Britney Spears’ 2000 single of the same name, which Halsey claims the pop princess approved of.

Halsey also took inspiration from Britney, 43, for the video.

Britney later threatened to take legal action against the singer in a social media post that surprised fans.

Halsey albums

Halsey announced that her fifth studio album will be released soon after chronicling her recent health battle. Take a look at what she released.

Badlands – August 28, 2015

Hopeless Foundation Kingdom – June 2, 2017

Maniac – January 17, 2020

If I can’t have love, I want power – August 27, 2021

The End – next album, 2024

In the video, Halsey clearly channeled Britney’s Toxic music video, stripping nearly naked in a sheer, sparkly bodysuit.

Oops! The I Did It Again singer shared a statement on X, formerly Twitter, responding to the video.

“For obvious reasons, I’m very upset about Halsey’s video,” she began.

“I feel harassed and intimidated.”

“I didn’t know that an artist like her and someone I admired would illustrate me in such an ignorant way, turning me into a shallow pop star with no heart or care,” she continued.

“I have my own health issues which is why I removed my IG account yesterday.”

“I will definitely put it back to show I care,” she continued.

“I’m talking to my lawyers today to see what can be done about this matter. It seems illegal and right. [sic] cruel.”

Fans flocked to the comments to show support for Britney.

“We are with you, Queen!” one fan wrote. “You will forever be the Queen of Pop!” Stay strong Britney, we love you!”

“It definitely gave a mocking tone, I’m not going to lie,” a second fan responded.

“Us [love] you. Definitely not cool, Halsey,” added a third.

Another fan seemed to disagree, writing, “I ran to YouTube to watch Halsey’s video.

“It’s a fabulous video and song. This response is extremely strange,” they continued.

Britney later deleted the post and addressed the decision in another strange post, calling the original “fake news.”

“That wasn’t me on my phone!!!” she wrote in X.

“I love Halsey and that’s why I deleted it.”

HALSEY’S HEALTH

In June, Halsey revealed that she is lucky to be alive after being diagnosed with lupus and leukemia.

The singer announced the first single from her fifth studio album, The End, before sharing her health scare in an Instagram video.

“Long story short, I’m lucky to be alive. Long story short, I wrote and album,” she wrote in her caption, tagging charities that support people living with lupus and leukemia.

In a video, Halsey announced, “I told myself I’m going to give myself two more years to be sick.

“When I’m 30, I’ll be reborn and I won’t get sick.

“I’m going to look super hot and have a lot of energy and be able to redo my 20s and 30s.”
