TWO years after an indefinite break from acting, Sandra Bullock is reportedly “ready to get back in the game,” in more ways than one.
Sandra has stayed out of the public eye following the death of her longtime partner in August 2023, but is gradually making her way back into the entertainment industry — and the dating scene.
Sandra Bullock was last seen running errands on July 12, just weeks before celebrating a milestone birthday.
Dressed casually in an all-white ensemble, Sandra even smiled at the paparazzi as she left a dermatologist’s office in Beverly Hills.
“Sandra is gradually re-emerging into public life,” said a source Us weekly.
“She’s excited about what the future holds,” they said, adding, “She’s ready to get back in the game.”

The star, who turned 60 on July 26, reportedly spent time reflecting on her achievements.
From her breakout role in the 1994 action thriller Speed to starring roles in Miss Congeniality, The Blind Side and The Proposal, Sandra has appeared in over 50 films.
She received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2005, was ranked second on Forbes’ 2014 Most Powerful Actresses list, and was named one of the most influential people in the world by the Time 100.
It was shocking, then, for Sandra’s fans to learn that she would be stepping away from the spotlight a few years ago.
TWO WEEKS NOTICE
In March 2022, the star announced that she would be taking a break from the entertainment industry following the release of her latest romantic comedy film, The Lost City.
“I can be creative, I can be part of a community, but right now, on-camera work needs a break,” she said. CBS News.
When asked how long her hiatus from Hollywood would last, Sandra responded, “I don’t know.”
“I don’t know…until I don’t feel what I feel now when I’m in front of a camera,” she added.
Since then, Sandra’s only role has been a brief but memorable appearance in the 2022 action comedy Bullet Train, alongside her Lost City co-star Brad Pitt.
In addition to spending more time at home with her children, son Louis and daughter Layla, she has also focused her energy on her partner of eight years, photographer Bryan Randall.

Sandra, who once called Bryan the “love of my life” during a 2021 episode of Red Table Talk, supported her late boyfriend as he privately dealt with an ALS diagnosis.
There is no known cure for ALS, a fatal motor neuron disease that causes progressive degeneration of nerve cells in the spinal cord and brain.
On August 6, 2023, Bryan died after a three-year battle with the disease.
In a statement shared with PeopleHis family said Bryan “chose early on to keep his journey with ALS private,” adding that “those of us who cared for him did our best to honor his request.”
Losing Bryan “was one of the hardest experiences Sandra has gone through,” the source revealed.
Another source told Us Weekly that Sandra had the support of her loved ones following Bryan’s death.
“Everyone from her family to her close Hollywood friends have gone out of their way to help her in any way they can, and for that she will be forever grateful,” the second source revealed.
WELCOME (BACK) TO HOLLYWOOD
After spending time grieving for her late partner and shifting her focus primarily to raising her children, Sandra is ready to return to work.
“Sandra missed acting,” the first source shared, adding that she “values working with longtime friends in the industry.”
In May, Sandra appeared on 50 MPH, a podcast centered around her 1994 box office hit Speed.
She revealed that she would love to reunite with her former co-star, Keanu Reeves.
“Before I die, before I leave this planet, I think Keanu and I need to do something in front of the cameras,” Sandra said.
Keanu, who also appeared on the podcast, confirmed that he would “love” to work with Sandra again.
“I would love to work with you again before our eyes close. We would kill it,” he said.
While there’s still no word on a potential Speed 3, Sandra is teaming up with another famous face in an upcoming film.
She will star alongside Nicole Kidman in a sequel to her 1998 romantic fantasy film Practical Magic.
Despite the original film’s mixed reviews and lukewarm box office earnings, it has since become a cult favorite.
“Sandra is very excited about Practical Magic 2,” a third source shared with Us weekly.
“Nicole is someone she adores and can’t wait to spend more time with.”
And if balancing family life with returning to the screen wasn’t enough, Sandra is still “slowly healing, keeping Bryan’s memory alive and focusing on her children,” according to the first source.
However, she is also keeping her options open – and is “open to the possibility” of dating again in the future.
