Brooke’s followers commented on her recent videos and criticized her for her tweets.

She responded to a fan’s comment that said, “People can be hurt by your words, especially those they were directed at. It’s not up to a non-POC to forgive her and defend her ‘growth’. People can get hurt.”

Brook said he preaches responsibility on his own, but doesn’t follow his own advice.

“You’ve probably seen the tweets that are going around. They’re not fake. They’re real things I said,” she admitted.

“I want to acknowledge that I feel the same way about them as you do. I think they are so disturbing. They are wrong. They are horrible and disgusting.”

Brooke said she appreciates people defending her, but said that doesn’t take away from the fact that the tweets are “horrible.”

She said she was trying not to cry and sniffled throughout the video.

The TikToker explained that she was adopted by her grandparents when she was 10 years old and their opinions influenced her.

‘CHANGE MY WAY OF THINKING’

Brook told her followers that she tweeted some of these comments when she was 18 years old.

However, she didn’t “change her way of thinking” until after college.

“There are people in my life that maybe I’ve always admired, that I don’t agree with,” Brooke said.

“I’m sorry to everyone who was hurt by the tweets because obviously they are very hurtful.”

“Obviously, a lot of it is like, ‘Why would I say that?’” she continued.

“I also apologize for not saying something sooner. I was getting these messages from people who were hurt by them, and I felt like if I brought more attention to it, I would be hurting more people.”

“That wasn’t the right mindset. I should have said something sooner,” she admitted.

“I’m 27 now and I’ve had a lot of time to form my own opinions and they’re nothing like they were when I was 17, 18.”

By the end, she had tears in her eyes.
