QVC shared a video of beloved personality David Venable on Sunday to help worried fans as they await his return.
The fan-favorite chef abruptly missed Sunday’s broadcast when his mother was hospitalized.

Still, the video didn’t stop fans from feeling David’s absence when QVC posted the clip of him on Instagram the first day he left.
In the clip, David wore his signature apron with his name on it and prepared a local seafood boil.
“We’re making a really delicious country seafood boil, and you can check out the recipe by checking out QVC-plus,” he told fans.
The QVC star posed with her seafood boil, which looked absolutely delicious.
“@davidvenableqvc’s Country Seafood Boil is a real catch,” the QVC caption read, reminding fans that they could still watch David via streaming.
‘I MISS YOU!’
Fans flooded the comments section wishing David and his mother the best and wishing he would return to QVC.
“David we miss you, sending love,” one fan wrote.
“Missed you today David, prayers for you and your mom and family,” wrote another.
“I missed you,” wrote a third. “Sending you, your sweet mother Sarah and your entire family prayers, love and positive healing energy. I hope the doctors can discover the source of your pain and begin treatment to cure it.”
Currently, Mary DeAngelis is replacing him and her official return date is unknown.
DAVID’S MOTHER’S HEALTH SCARE
On Friday, David, 59, shared that her mother, Sarah, is in a TeaCharlotte, North Carolina hospital.
He said he and his brother were by her side after she suffered from “abdominal pain and dehydration.”
He posted to his followers: “I’m going to miss my shift at QVC tonight and tomorrow.”
Ideally, this will be the most he’ll miss, although so much has become less assured after his most recent update.
He continued, “I arrived safely in North Carolina last night and spent the day with my mom at the hospital. They did a lot of testing and determined that her organs are fine… now we are turning our attention to her abdominal pain.”
“Her appetite hasn’t returned yet, but we’re encouraged by today’s events. Everything is step by step. She’s napping now and getting as much rest as she needs.”
“Thank you again for all your prayers and good wishes. I shared them with Mom and she is so grateful. More updates coming soon,” concluded David.
“Mom Update #3. My mom is still unwell and I’m staying with her in North Carolina for a few more days. Thank you for your prayers and well wishes and I’ll keep you updated. Thanks everyone again!” David he wrote in his most recent post on Saturday.

The chef is considered one of the shopping channel’s most addictive presenters, and his impressive height (6 feet tall) doesn’t hurt his appeal.
Good Housekeeping named him one of America’s favorite hosts of 2018.
He also wrote cookbooks based on the show and is now a staple on the shopping network.
He has worked at QVC since 1993 and began his career on the show promoting gourmet food products.
As time went on, David found his wheelhouse and began hosting his own segment on the channel.
