Fan-favorite General Hospital character officially returns to appear alongside two new cast members after low ratings

GENERAL Hospital has announced that it will be bringing back a fan-favorite character, as well as announcing two new cast members.

The announcement comes after the long-running soap opera had low ratings.

It was announced via the television show’s Instagram that Bryan Craig would return to the role of Morgan Corinthos in an episode on Tuesday.

Although it does not appear in the promotion, many fans he picked up to the comments section to sort out your mixed feelings about his return.

“I’m so disappointed that Morgan is just going to be a ghost again,” wrote one disgruntled fan.

“I can’t believe they’re doing this. They made it look like he was coming back. They should have just written ‘Morgan makes an appearance’.”

“Ah yes, Morgan’s ghost is coming today,” said a second user excitedly.

“Ava’s lies are about to blow up in her face! Today is the day he finds out his meds aren’t working!”

One fan was completely confused by the actor’s return.

“Why is everyone saying Morgan is coming back? As you know this, I missed something,” they wrote.

Bryan hinted at his return to General Hospital for the first time in June 2024 after post a series of Instagram photos of him on the set of the show.

“Me and my friend the camera,” Bryan wrote in the caption.

Bryan joined the series as Morgan in 2013 and played the character for three years before being eliminated in a car bomb explosion.

The actor later returned in 2018 for a brief period, but has not appeared on the show since.

“I’m really grateful because I love working with Maurice and I love what we did at the end of this race,” Bryan continued.

“It was really fun to be called back and be able to come back to delve deeper into this story a few years later.

In addition to Bryan’s return, General Hospital also added several new cast members.

Veteran soap opera actor Rick Hearst, who previously starred on the show, has made his shocking return.

Hearst’s character left the series in 2016.

Emma Samms, who last appeared on the ABC drama in 2023, is also set to reappear.

Other new faces include Jordan Murphy as U.S. Attorney Wilcox and Gita Reddy, who will play Judge Sullivan.

Many fans of the show have expressed their annoyance with the casting, some calling the decision “unnecessary.”

General Hospital airs on ABC weekdays at 2pm and the next day on Hulu.
