QVC host David Venable has officially returned to his hosting duties after being away for a few days.

David, who has worked with QVC since 1993, revealed in a Facebook post that he will return to the show next week after leaving the show due to a family emergency.

“Hi friends! Thank you for all the kind words and well wishes for my mom, Sarah. It means so much to me,” he he wrote in the post.

“She’s feeling a little better and my brother will be with her for the next few days. It’s a slow process, but it’s getting better!”

According to David, he was forced to leave his mother’s side due to the tropical storm that recently hit Florida.

“I’ll be back on air this week,” he added.

The chef then posted a list of the shows he would appear on.

Many fans were quick to express their delight at the announcement.

“I’m so happy your mom is getting better and that you have such a loving and supportive family,” said one fan.

“Continue to count your blessings, not your problems. We will all be with you in prayer. Hoping your flight home is safe and trouble-free. As always, David, thanks for the update.”

“Glad to hear she’s feeling better. Thanks for keeping us updated. Praying. We’ve all grown to worry about your mom over the years,” a second person said.

“Thanks for the update, David. We love your mother. I’m glad she’s feeling better. Continuing to pray for her,” commented a third person.

David’s return to the show comes after he posted a status saying his mother was in hospital.

“I’m going to miss my shift at QVC tonight and tomorrow” he wrote David, 59. According to the television star, his mother, Sarah, suffered from “abdominal pain and dehydration” and was hospitalized in Charlotte, North Carolina.

“I arrived safely in North Carolina last night and spent the day with my mother at the hospital. They ran many tests and determined that her organs are fine… now we are turning our attention to her abdominal pain,” David said in a statement updated. post, adding that his brother was also with him.

She is feeling a little better and my brother will be with her for the next few days. It’s a slow process, but it’s getting better!”

“Her appetite hasn’t returned yet, but we’re encouraged by today’s events. Everything is step by step. She’s napping now and getting as much rest as she needs.”

“Thank you again for all your prayers and good wishes. I shared them with Mom and she is so grateful. More updates coming soon,” concluded David.

Later, David gave his fans a third update.

“Mom update #3. My mom is still under the weather and I’m staying with her in North Carolina for a few more days,” he wrote.

“Thank you for your prayers and well wishes and I will keep you updated. Thanks everyone again!” he he wrote in your most recent post.

Since leaving the show, Mary DeAngelis has been replacing David.

Mary has been with the network since 2007 and hosts two shows: Morning Connection and Kim Gravel’s Belle—Fashion on Wednesdays.
