Guest comedians will appear on the show to tell jokes to the audience and presenters for five minutes.

Stand Up and Talk will begin on April 26th and run every Friday until the end of the daytime show.

Hosts Sheryl Underwood, Natalie Morales, Jerry O’Connell, Akbar Gbajabiamila and Amanda Kloots will leave the stage for comedy.

The set will be transformed into a comedy club.

“I’m excited to bring together two things I love – stand-up comedy and The Talk,” Sheryl told the outlet.

“This is the first time The Talk has done a stand-up series, but it won’t be the last. See you every Friday!”

Sheryl is also a comedian, but it’s unclear if she will participate in the new segment.

Confirmed comedians include Wendy Liebman, Preacher Lawson, Zarna Garg and Brad Upton.

Jackie Fabulous was the first comedian to perform on The Talk on April 12 and her set inspired the talk show to start the segment.

BEING REPLACED

With The Talk coming to an end, CBS needs to find a replacement for it.

An all-black soap opera called The Gates is being developed at the network, so it will likely take its place.

The Talk originally replaced the soap opera As The World Turns when it debuted in 2010.

According to Deadlinethe long-running series is the lowest-rated program on CBS’ daytime programming.

In terms of ratings, The Talk is behind The Young and The Restless, The Bold and The Beautiful, The Price is Right and Let’s Make A Deal.

When it comes to talk shows, The Talk is third behind The View and Live! With Kelly and Mark.
