KELLY Ripa had a lot to say about a Live executive who is retiring after 53 years with the company.
On Wednesday’s episode, hosts Kelly, 53, and her husband Mark Consuelos, 53, said a heartfelt goodbye to Art Moore.
Art, responsible for producing Live, has been at ABC since 1966.
The executive has worked at Live for 36 years.
When speaking with him, Kelly admitted that in the coming months she could convince Art not to retire.
“Art is the reason, I say this all the time, for being here and for having stayed here all these years.
“You are so, so important to me, to our family. You are one in a zillion and you mean so much to all of us.”
The TV personality went on to praise Art: “You are the most special, dedicated, loyal and extraordinary person I have ever met in my life.
“We love and adore you and I will spend the next few months of my life talking you out of it.”
Mark then joked: “Art, I need to tell you. I can’t help but take this personally.”
END OF AN ERA
Art then revealed that he will be working with the US daytime TV series until September.
Kelly continued to joke, “I know you’re not leaving this building without me.”
She turned to her Hollywood actor husband and said, “This could be very emotional for you.
“You could have a new co-host and I could retire with Art.”
Mark was surprised by her statement and laughed and then moved on to the next topic of discussion.
‘HE CAN’T GO!’
On Live’s Instagram page, the show shared a clip of Kelly, Mark and Art’s heartfelt conversation, where fans flooded the comments section with praise.
One viewer wrote: “I love Art!! Tell me it’s not like that!! He can’t go!!”
“How can we communicate with him? He’s just classic and very sweet. I want to tell him how grateful I am,” said a second.
“Art is a living legend,” commented another.
A fourth explained: “He will be missed so much – it sounds silly but knowing he is there every day, and has been there for over 30 years, brings me comfort! I grew up with Art Moore!!!”
Someone said: “He’s the cutest!”
“I hope he has a wonderful retirement,” said a sixth.
