AMY Robach addressed ABC’s firing of Rob Marciano, more than a year after she was also fired from the network.
The meteorologist, 55, was reportedly fired from Good Morning America on April 30, although details remain scarce.
Amy, 51, spoke about the news on her iHeartRadio podcast, Amy and TJ Podcastwhich she runs with her boyfriend and former co-star TJ Holmes, 46.
About the May 3rd installmentthe couple shared their sympathy for Rob, who worked for a decade at the network before being released.
“The other morning, we were having breakfast with someone, and someone reminded us, ‘Hey, no one leaves ABC News looking pretty. That’s what they said,’” said the father of three.
Amy then chimed in to confirm, saying, “Word for word. It’s a difficult situation. Yes, we’ve been down this path. It’s not easy.

“I think he might still be getting divorced, so we know what it’s like to have your whole life, career and personal life turned upside down.”
The former TV stars explained that they have known Rob for a long time, TJ said he is “one of the best” in his field.
“We hate to see someone who has been a friend and colleague for a long time end up in this place, in this position, to be talked about the way he is being talked about to some degree,” he added.
While the couple didn’t comment specifically on the allegations against Rob, they admitted they knew what it was like to have “those headlines” and “be the target of clickbait.”
Amy explained: “That’s a difficult position for anyone to go through. Especially for someone who has two kids. I know he loves his kids, he talks about them all the time.
“Our hearts are with him. We wish you the best”, they concluded.
THE FALL OF ROB
A year before his firing, ABC temporarily banned Rob from filming segments at the Manhattan studio.
Then, in March, a source revealed to Page six that he was “found to have done something…that was improper.”
“But he was punished for it and they still won’t let him back.”
The source added that there were several issues that led to Rob’s firing.
They said the meteorologist was “very irritated and angry…unpleasant behavior on his part.”
“Any staffing decisions made are based first and foremost on protecting the culture and allowing our people to focus on their news gathering work, free from distractions.”
A second source claimed Rob was dealing with “anger issues” after divorcing his ex-wife, Eryn, last year.
Others suggested that GMA boss Simone Swink “will not allow him to return” as she has been “extremely cautious and protective” following the replacement of her predecessor Michael Corn.
Michael was fired in April 2021 for allegedly sexually assaulting two female employees.
Rob has not spoken publicly about his dismissal at this time.
