On Friday, May 10, Whoopi, 68, spoke to journalist Don Lemon on the Dom Lemon Show.

She talked about her memoir, her pot shop, grief and whether she would ever get married again.

“Do you ever feel alone?” Don, 58, asked.

Whoopi took a deep breath and said, “I don’t think so.”

“Do you know why I’m asking this?… Because I just got married,” Don replied.

“And remember, earlier, when you wrote the book about how marriage wasn’t for you, I interviewed you and we talked about it in person.”

“And I said, ‘I don’t think marriage is for me,’” he concluded.

Whoopi said she thought Don had no idea what that entailed.

Don then asked Whoopi if it was true that she doesn’t like the people who live in her house.

“I don’t care about the people who live in my house. The truth is that I am fundamentally a selfish person,” said Whoopi.

The View host went on to say that because she has a daughter, son-in-law, three grandchildren and a great-grandchild, she doesn’t have much time for other people to come into her life.

“Hit and run is great. I don’t mind it, but you can’t stay the night,” Whoopi admitted.

Don laughed and asked if hit-and-run accidents still happen, to which Whoopi replied, “Oh, yes!”

Whoopi has been married three times.

I don’t mind people living in my house. The truth is that I am fundamentally a selfish person. Hitting and running is great. I do not mind about it.

For example, Whoopi said that some people might think they are a terrible person or a prostitute.

However, the actress said she never thought about it.

“I thought I must be doing it wrong because other people seemed to have figured it out,” Whoopi said.

“And what I realized was that I had figured it out. I was surprised by the fact that I didn’t really want it, but I like hitting and running.”

“It requires a lot of give and take and I’m at a point in my life where I don’t want that. I see you when I see you and then you leave”, she concluded.
