On Monday, Whoopi, 68, told Kelly, 42, that she weighed 300 pounds while filming the 2023 drama Till.
She has since revealed on the US daytime TV show that the Hollywood actress has lost “almost two people’s weight”.
With Mounjaro’s help, Whoopi lost more than 30 pounds.
Monjaro, also known as tirzepatide, is an injection given to those with type 2 diabetes and also helps you lose weight – very similar to Ozempic.

Till, which tells the story of Mamie Till-Mobley and her fight for her son, was released in theaters on January 6, 2023.
However, the film premiered months earlier in October 2022 at the New York Film Festival.
Days after the premiere, Whoopi called out an online troll who thought Whoopi was wearing a fat suit in The View movie.
She confirmed that she was not wearing one and that this was her true self.
The movie star said: “I don’t really care how you felt about the movie, but you should know that it wasn’t a fat suit, it was me.
It’s okay to not be a fan of the movie, but you want to leave out what people look like.
“Just comment on the performance. And if you have any questions, ask someone. I’m sure you didn’t mean to be humiliating.”
‘WAS NEVER BEEN A PROBLEM’
Later that year in December, Whoopi made an appearance on Oprah Winfrey’s Shame, Blame, and the Weight Loss Revolution special.
There, she revealed that Mounjaro was the medicine she was missing to help lose weight.

In October 2021, Whoopi called out someone online for asking if she wore a thick suit in the drama Till.
“I don’t really care how you felt about the movie, but you should know that it wasn’t a fat suit, it was me,” she said on The View at the time.
In December 2023, she said she would take Mounjaro.
“My weight has gone up and down, but it’s never been a problem for me because I don’t listen to what other people say about me, so it’s never been a problem,” said the EGOT winner.
In early January 2024, fans expressed on social media how “refreshed” and “healthy” Whoopi looked during an episode of her talk show.
Months later, in March, she spoke more about her experience with Mounjaro: “I tell you, I weighed almost 300 pounds when I did Till.”
More recently, in an interview with Kelly Clarkson, Whoopi said that the drug is “really good” for her and that she didn’t realize anything about her weight before the fat suit comment was mentioned.
“My weight has been up and down, but it’s never been an issue for me because I don’t listen to what other people say about me, so it’s never been an issue,” she said.
“But I think it’s very difficult for people to just know what a normal weight would be. Everyone has something to say, but no one said, ‘How are you?’ Because it involves many other things.

In March, Whoopi spoke more about Mounjaro on her talk show.
The Sister Act star said: “I’ll tell you, I weighed almost 300 pounds when I did Till and I had taken all these steroids, I was taking all these things.
One of the things that helped me lose weight was Mounjaro. That’s what I use.”
“I was hoping Whoopi would continue what she was doing to lose weight. When the season started, this was even noticeable because she was wearing baggy, baggy clothes,” one fan noted after watching the episode.
‘THE LAST THING YOU’RE THINKING’
During her time on Kelly’s show on Monday, the two shared similar experiences while losing weight.
Whoopi revealed that the medication has been “really good” for her.
She also mentioned the fat suit comment and before addressing it, she didn’t think much about her weight.
“You’re living your life and doing what you need to do and that’s the last thing you think about,” the movie star explained.
