GOOD Morning America alum Dr. Jen Ashton defended Kelly Clarkson after the singer admitted to using a weight-loss medication.
Jen, 55, asked everyone to stop attacking and body-shaming the singer in a new Instagram post.
On May 15, she posted a photo with Kelly, 42, from a few years ago when she was on set.
They posed for a photo together in matching red dresses.
“Can we PLEASE stop attacking/shaming/judging people who lose weight on FDA-approved weight loss medications?!?!” Jen captioned it publish.
“I met @kellyclarkson years ago on GMA and found her kind, warm, friendly and, of course, talented.”

Jen went on to say how upsetting it was to see Kelly come under fire for admitting to using weight loss medication.
“It’s upsetting to see how she’s being attacked for this – for not ‘telling all’ about what drugs she takes, etc.” she continued.
The former GMA correspondent went on to say that the choice is Kelly’s and no one else’s.
“Fat shaming is out of control: people attack those who are overweight and then attack those who lose weight,” she continued.
“Kelly, I applaud you for taking steps to improve your health by losing a significant amount of weight.”
“Can we please be a little nicer to each other?” Jen finished.
TAKE A MINUTE!
Jen was referring to the moment on Kelly’s talk show when she blurted out that she didn’t lose weight naturally.
On Monday, Kelly spoke with Whoopi Goldberg and the topic came up.
“Every time I meet you, you look younger!” Kelly told her.
“You’re like Benjamin Button. It’s crazy every time you come in!”

“First of all, it’s all the weight I’ve lost. I lost almost two people”, admitted Whoopi, 68 years old.
“I’m making that wonderful picture that works for people who need help and it’s been really good for me.”
Kelly then said that she also used a drug other than Ozempic.
She said her blood work got much worse and her doctors told her she needed to do something.
“My doctor hounded me for two years and I thought, ‘No, I’m scared of this. I already have thyroid problems,'” Kelly said.
The talk show host said the medicine was “something that helps break down sugar” but did not reveal the name.
The American Idol winner then said she weighed 203 pounds at her heaviest.
HEALTHY LIFESTYLE
In February, a source told The US Sun that Kelly combined a healthier diet with regular exercise to lose weight.
“This has her fans excited, but it’s not a big deal for Kelly or the show’s team because Kelly is constantly updating her look, her workouts and her diet,” the source said.
“It is constantly evolving and has always been that way.”
Kelly was told by doctors that she was pre-diabetic and decided to change that.
She said she wasn’t shocked because she was “a little overweight.”
