His wife, reporter Jennifer Gould, confirmed the news to TMZ on Wednesday.

She said Mark, 67, is still hospitalized but is “on the road to recovery,” joking and in “good spirits.”

“My husband Mark Kriski is a strong man… and is looking forward to returning to KTLA,” the true crime correspondent added on X, formerly Twitter.

“Mark Kriski and I are extremely grateful for the outpouring of love, thoughts and prayers.

“Mark is a fighter and he will get through this. A special message to our KTLA family, you showed up in droves!

“Mark can’t wait to get back on the air: STAY TUNED,” the former KTLA morning reporter concluded.

KTLA announced Mark’s hospitalization on-air Wednesday and later gave fans an update on X.

“Our friend and colleague Mark Kriski is recovering after suffering a mild stroke earlier this week,” the show’s official account posted.

“He is receiving the best medical care and hopes to return to the team soon.

“Mark contacted us on Wednesday and we are happy to report that he is in good spirits.

“He also wanted to thank everyone who got in touch. All of us at KTLA are thinking of Mark and his family right now and hope to see him soon.”

Mark and Jennifer began dating in 2009 after meeting at KTLA when she started as a morning reporter.

In April, she paid tribute to the anniversary of their first meeting with an old photo of them in the studio.

“We met at KTLA… I had been at the station for 6 weeks… But it was my first time reporting on the morning show when Mark Kriski saw me for the first time,” Jennifer wrote on Instagram.

“My task: a huge tree that fell on a main road creating a traffic nightmare!

“I compared my height (5’9”) to that of one of the branches of the tree…
And the husband was instantly smitten. We had our first date a few weeks later….

“It was April 3rd… and we’ve been together ever since. From fallen trees to love! 15 years TO THE DAY… and counting.”

HISTORIC

Mark, who is from Montreal, Canada, began his career in radio before becoming a reporter for Canada’s Weather Channel, according to his website.

He became the meteorologist for the KTLA Morning Show upon its launch in 1991 and typically covers morning forecasts from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Mark has won nine Emmy Awards and an Associated Press Radio-Television Award.

His stroke came just weeks after KTLA entertainment reporter Sam Rubin died at age 64.

Sam suffered a heart attack after doing his regular Hollywood news segment on May 10.

He was rushed from his home to a Los Angeles hospital, where he went into full cardiac arrest.
