The Bold and the Beautiful star Matthew Atkins has teased a big change for his character Thomas.
Fans of the soap opera have been awaiting its return since March.

Matthew, 35, opened up about his impending return to The Bold and the Beautiful in an interview with Soap opera summary.
During his time away from the show, circumstances have changed drastically and viewers speculate that this will affect his character.
The biggest twist that has fans excited is that Hope (Annika Noelle) appears to be interested in another man – namely Finn (Tanner Novlan), who is married to Thomas’ sister.
Matthew weighed in on the potential drama ahead, but was careful not to say too much.
“From Thomas’ point of view, he doesn’t know anything about this, and maybe that helps my point,” he told the outlet.
“I’ll just say I don’t know anything about it. But yes, there have definitely been some interesting changes [while] Thomas was out of town.”
He added that The Bold and the Beautiful teasing a Hope and Finn hookup is “nothing that I wouldn’t necessarily expect.”
“If I were to highlight a few things the show could try, this would be one of them,” he added.
Although he remained tight-lipped about many of the details, he did tease something big was coming.
“Thomas has had a really big change in his life since leaving,” he revealed.
“And when he comes back, it’s something that shocks everyone.”
Viewers will have to tune in and see what this big change is.

The actor married Brytnee Ratledge in November 2023.
He talked about married life in his interview with Digest.
“It’s fantastic. Oh, being married is so amazing,” he gushed.
“It helps to have the most wonderful wife in the world, but man, it’s amazing.”
While he was away from The Bold and the Beautiful, he and his wife went on “a lot of trips, were married a lot, had fun, and went to play with the dog at the park.”
He added: “And we really went [on] a trip [of a lifetime] we both always wanted to do, which is go to Ireland, Scotland and England. So we took off and spent a few weeks there.
“We’re just moving and dancing.”
BOLD NEW ADDITIONS
In addition to the upcoming Thomas-Hope storyline, fans can expect some new and exciting faces.
The Bold and the Beautiful has cast Crew Morrow, son of The Young and the Restless star Joshua Morrow, to play Will Spencer.
Crew will replace Finnegan George, 14.
Will is the son of Katie Logan (Heather Tom) and Bill Spencer (Don Diamont).
The character was last seen on the series in 2020, at the age of 10, and now viewers will be able to see an adult version of him on the series.
Crew began filming new episodes on June 14, according to Deadline.
This is the teen actor’s first major TV role.
