DR. Jennifer Ashton opened up about how she’s feeling before leaving her role as ABC News’ chief medical correspondent.
The GMA 3 co-host will soon leave the network after 13 years to focus on her women’s wellness brand, Ajenda.
During an appearance on Tuesday’s episode of The View, Dr. Jen said she was looking forward to getting some more sleep in the future.
When asked how she felt about leaving ABC, Dr. Jen joked, “Tired.”
She also noted that she was looking forward to “sleeping past four or five in the morning.”
On a more serious note, the doctor said she is “excited about the next internship and really focused on what I’m certified in,” which is women’s health, obesity medicine and nutrition.

END OF AN ERA
In April, the morning show announced the departure of its fan-favorite TV correspondent.
“It has been an honor to be at ABC and help cover the country’s and world’s biggest health issues for the past 13 years,” Dr. Jen said in a statement.
“My coworkers became more than friends; they became family and accompanied me through the biggest professional moments of my life.
“I feel fortunate to have worked with the best in the business.”
In the comments of the post, the TV personality added that Ajenda would allow him to “continue his mission with many exciting new avenues.”
Jen, who is double board certified in obstetrics, gynecology and obesity medicine, launched her science-based newsletter, Ajenda, in March.
The free newsletter features her expertise in women’s health, menopause and weight loss.
