The DAYS OF Our Lives character has made a surprise return to the series – and she’s a whole new person in more ways than one.
While Cherie Jimenez is excited to take over from Gabi Hernandez DiMera on the soap opera, fans are divided on whether to see a new actress take on the role.

Cherie spoke to Soap opera summary about her debut and Gabi’s return – a role she has known for seven months before hitting the big screen.
“I am so happy. It was a crazy seven months,” she told the channel.
Fans have already seen Gabi go to prison with Camila Banus in the role.
However, during Thursday’s episode, fans were shocked to see that Cherie would be in the new Gabi, as she was supposed to be released from prison.

In addition to the new face, fans can expect to see a new and improved Gabi.
“The Gabi that comes out of prison is a changed Gabi, as she has just gone through an incredibly difficult time being away from her daughter and Stefan, specifically,” Cherie joked.
“It changed her in so many ways. She’s allowed to see what’s really important and get past all the bullshit.”
She went on to say that her character is focused on mending the bridges she burned before going to prison.
