SINGER David Archuleta surprised fans with a new song during his daytime television interview.
The pop star appeared on Good Morning America on Friday and performed her single, Hell Together, in Times Square.

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT
After the show, Archuleta went live on Instagram and released a new single called Rather Be Single, which will be available for pre-order on July 19th.
The singer received many encouraging comments in Good Morning America’s Instagram post.
“I finally finished watching it omg this was so special,” one user commented.
“I just watched it and was left teary-eyed by Kate and Theo’s story and David’s powerful emotional and sincere performance,” echoed another.

Many fans commented with rainbow hearts and the rainbow flag emoji below the post – a tribute to the queer artist.
PATH TO FAME
At just ten years old, Archuleta won the children’s division of the Utah Talent Competition, leading to other television singing appearances.
Two years later, he became the junior vocal champion on the second season of Star Search, known as “Star Search 2”.
In 2008, he finished second on the seventh season of American Idol.
Originally from Miami, the singer received his ticket to the Hollywood auditions at the San Diego tryouts, held at Qualcomm Stadium, in July 2007.
He won over the judges with his performance of John Mayer’s “Waiting on the World to Change.”
Judge Randy Jackson spontaneously joined in to sing in the background.
After placing second in the competition, Archuleta signed with Jive Records in June 2008.
His self-titled album, David Archuleta, was released in November 2008.
Their first single, “Crush”, was released in August 2008 on Z100, a well-known New York radio station.

‘I FEEL FREE’
In an interview published in November 2022, Archuleta described herself as queer.
“I’m finally learning what it’s like to really love myself,” said Archuleta People Magazine. “I feel liberated.”
After accepting his sexuality, the singer spoke with religious leaders about the religion’s view of being queer.
Having been raised in a Mormon Church, he said conversations about sexuality were pointless and made him feel defeated.
He described his relationship with the Church as “very complicated.”
Now, Archuleta is beloved as a queer musician and singer and has fought to represent the community in a positive way.
Fans are grateful to see themselves represented by an openly gay artist on such a large platform.
