WENDY Williams’ guardian Sabrina Morrissey has filed divorce papers from the star demanding her ex-husband pay back $112,500 to her after she said he was “overpaid” in their divorce settlement.

In the court filing, obtained exclusively by The US Sun, the former talk show host’s guardian not only alleged that her ex Kevin, 52, was overpaid, but also wanted the divorce judge to issue a gag order to prevent him from talking about the case.

Sabrina says that according to the couple’s marital settlement agreement, Kevin was supposed to receive what was defined as severance pay from Wendy, 59.

She states that “payments to Mr. Hunter would be terminated if [Wendy’s] the income earned annually is less than 2 times the annual income (as of February 1, 2020).”

The guardian claims that “‘annual income’ is defined in the Agreement as [Wendy’s] W-2 income and any income paid as a result of your work in a program.”

In the lawsuit, the Guardian said that Wendy, who did not appear to host The Wendy Williams Show all of last season, stopped receiving her full salary in October 2021, but Kevin continued to receive it.

“She continued to pay Mr. Hunter. He says in his motion documents…that he was paid until January 2022.”

“As a result, [Kevin] was unjustly enriched by receiving US$112,500 (US$37,500 x 3 months) belonging to [Wendy]”, the process continued.

Sabrina is asking a court to order Kevin to pay back the sum of $112,500, plus interest.

Additionally, the guardian is asking the judge to issue a gag order to Wendy’s ex.

“I request that the Court increase the protection of this case and issue a ‘gag order,’ thereby instructing Mr. Hunter not to speak to the press or others, except legal advisors, about these matters and to instruct anyone with whom he has previously discussed these matters that they should not communicate about these matters with anyone else”, demanded Wendy’s guardian in the process.

She is also trying to get the court to reject Kevin’s request to take the case back to court and instead decide whether the case should go to arbitration.

As The US Sun reported last month, Kevin is asking the court to intervene after he alleges that the payments, which were agreed to in his and Wendy’s marital settlement agreement, suddenly ceased shortly before she was to be placed under conservatorship in 2022. .

He is now asking for payments to resume.

KEVIN COURT ORDER

In the documents, Kevin said the out-of-court mediation failed and that is why he is taking the case once again to court.

The father of two wrote: “I rely on compensation for my living expenses and being without that income for twenty-three months has really affected me.”

Wendy’s ex is also demanding that the star, through her conservatorship, “immediately pay all damages that may be due and owing at the time of this Court’s order.”

Kevin would also like the documents relating to Wendy’s AFTRA Retirement Plan to be executed.

Kevin also asked the court to force Wendy’s team to turn over all bank records from the date of the “dissolution of marriage to the current date.”

‘SHOW ME THE MONEY’

In the documents, filed in March, Kevin argued that he was promised access to his ex’s financial records through her guardian.

Kevin wrote in his file:

“On December 8, 2022, I participated in a mediation with [Wendy’s] advice and [Wendy’s] New York court-appointed guardian attorney Sabrina Morrissey.

“In this mediation, [Wendy’s] the attorney and the Guardian agreed to provide account statements and bank records that they claimed they had obtained permission from the New York court to provide.”

WENDY ‘DOESN’T HAVE MONEY’?

A source close to mediation talks in 2022 previously revealed to The US Sun that during a meeting between the parties in December, the mediator told Wendy’s ex and his team: “The reality is there is no more money.”

The out-of-court sessions were supposed to resolve Kevin’s claims that he is owed money set aside for him in his and Wendy’s marital settlement.

The source close to the negotiations said that despite the mediator’s statement about Wendy’s financial affairs, “no evidence has been offered to support the claim” that the former TV star is broke.

WENDY WILLIAMS’ TERRIFYING DIAGNOSIS

Alcohol-related brain damage

As The US Sun previously exclusively reported, Wendy was diagnosed with alcohol-related brain damage in 2019 during a stint in rehab in Florida.

A source explained that a brain scan was performed as part of Wendy’s rehab stay in Delray Beach that year.

After the exam, a neurologist spoke with the star, her son and her then-husband, Kevin Hunter Sr., 51.

“The doctor explained to them that Wendy was suffering from alcohol-related brain damage. They told her that her alcohol abuse had caused permanent damage to the layers of her brain,” the source said.

“She was warned at that point that if she continued to drink, the damage would only get worse.”

At that meeting, they gave Wendy a devastating prognosis.

Rehabilitation doctors predicted the eventual decline in Wendy’s cognitive abilities, which became evident to those who had contact with the star in recent years.

“They told her that if she continued drinking she would continue to become more forgetful, that she wouldn’t remember people’s names and eventually she might forget who people were,” the source said.

After a call for comment was sent to Wendy’s team, they released a statement saying that Wendy had been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia and aphasia in 2023.

“The decision to share this news was difficult and made after careful consideration, not only to advocate for understanding and compassion for Wendy, but to raise awareness of aphasia and frontotemporal dementia and support thousands of others facing similar circumstances,” the statement said.

Kevin repeatedly asked for Wendy’s financial records during the mediation, according to sources.

Kevin said that despite supposed assurances from his ex’s guardian and her lawyer that they would provide him with Wendy’s bank records, they never materialized.

During the Wendy documentary series, Where’s Wendy Williams? which aired on Lifetime last month, the star said when discussing her conservatorship, “I don’t have any money.”

“And let me tell you something, if it happens to me, it could happen to you,” she told the camera about her financial situation.
