THE View’s fate was revealed after fans called for the long-running talk show to be canceled due to the hosts’ unpopular views.

Fans have expressed their outrage on social media about the direction the ABC series has taken, but the network has assured them the show will go on, The US Sun can exclusively reveal.

After the abundance of reactions directed at the hosts – Whoopi Goldberg, 68; Sara Haines, 46; Joy Behar, 81; Sunny Hostin, 55; Ana Navarro, 52, and Alyssa Farah Griffin, 35 — on their controversial thoughts on the current political climate, ABC cleared up rumors that The View would not return.

“That’s not true,” an ABC representative told The US Sun of the rumor that the show was being pulled from its daytime TV lineup.

“The View will return for season 28 in September,” they added.

ABC also noted that ratings have been off the charts despite reports of its rollercoaster ratings.

“Not only is The View the most-watched daytime talk show for the fourth year in a row, but it has also grown its overall audience to the highest level in three years,” the network said.

‘IT’S DISGUSTING!’

The hosts are preparing for the panel’s annual month-long break, which typically runs from early August through Labor Day.

Fans begged ABC to put The View on permanent hiatus after viewers scrutinized Whoopi and Joy’s “disrespectful” comments in a recent episode about former President Donald Trump and his family.

“The women in the exhibit are horrible. They lead the pact for this type of behavior,” wrote a fan on X.

“@ABCnetwork cancels The View. It’s disgusting!!!” another pleaded.

“@Disney for real, cancel The View,” echoed a third.

“They are so comfortable in their echo chamber that they are unaware of how offensive they are. They are cognitively incapable of respectfully listening to a different opinion. I don’t know a single person who watches The View. Who is paying to keep them on the air ?” a fourth complained.

The View has been on the air since August 1997, when its creator, Barbara Walters, participated in the panel.

Whoopi and Joy were the hosts since the show’s inception, but each stepped away, only to return to their posts years later.

In September 2023, moderator Whoopi and her co-hosts were criticized by fans, who claimed they had planned an uncomfortable on-air exchange to increase ratings.

The preview hosts

The View is an American talk show that airs on ABC from 11 am to 12 pm EST, Monday through Friday. It features a diverse group of women discussing the day’s “Hot Topics,” ranging from hard-hitting news to celebrity gossip. The six co-hosts include:

The viral moment was led by Whoopi, who abruptly interrupted a heated conversation to ask Alyssa if she was pregnant.

Alyssa potentially starting a family was a previous topic on the show that fans think sparked the cast’s interest in reigniting the conversation to attract viewership.

The former White House Director of Strategic Communications was shocked by the outburst from her co-host, who Whoopi said she asked because she “had a vibe.”

However, fans didn’t believe the entire scene and accused the panel of planning the whole thing.

NOT DONE YET

Rumors previously circulated that Whoopi and Joy would soon call it quits and retire from the show.

Both assured fans that they have no plans to leave anytime soon, but the veteran hosts’ schedules have been modified, with Whoopi taking Fridays off and Joy taking Mondays off.

It was also reported that Whoopi signed a deal in September 2021 to remain on the show through season 28.

Joy signed a similar deal, extending her tenure through season 28 as well.
